  1. craigslist.org with some patience, you should be able to find a decent set of 33s/35s for under 700. possibly with rims attached. :D
  2. I went and set the dvr to record it. :D
  3. a rebuilt 2.8 will probably still have the issues inherent with the 2.8L. the 3.4/3.1 is a superior engine internally.
  4. car-part.com may be of help in finding engines.
  5. the bolt on kits are axle-specific, meaning they will not work on a future 8.8. the bolt-on perch uses the stock MJ perches for strength and location, perches that will not be on the 8.8 welding perches to an axle is about as easy as welding gets. Mopar perches are only $18/pair at the dealership.
  6. is the old gas still in the tank?
  7. or you can hitchhike in for free. :D not having a car sucks though. :( the pit area is miles from the start area, which is miles from the camping area. though if you stick that thumb out, it only takes a couple minutes before someone will help you out with a ride. plan on it being insanely sunny and warm. the sunshine hits you from above and from below. In fact, most of the light comes from the reflection off the salt. if it turns out to be cloudy, that's a bonus. :D bring LOTS of water and sunscreen.

    Tow rig?

seats 6, hauls whatever, looks awesome... :brows: plus you can wash the truck off after wheeling. your truck and everyone else's. http://rockford.craigslist.org/bfs/1696660849.html
  9. check for power at the tank directly after someone turns the key to start. the pump should get power for like a second.
  10. last week to order anything.
  11. maybe the shimming failed?
  12. If it wasn't for her bro-in-law being right there, I might not have been able to keep the paint guns. I wonder if they actually took the hub caps to the AMC swap meet like she told me when they were yanked from of my pile-o-goodies. she took the cheapie filter face masks and some other stupid stuff. :dunno: I promptly took back the paint gun filters and half-can of PB blaster. :D
  13. fix the link for ya.
  14. fix the link for ya.
  15. yeah, I got that excuse too. :fs1:
  16. It's possible that the linkage is in need of adjustment. :dunno:
  17. it's been at least a couple years since he passed. how long before they just say that anything left in there is simply free for the taking because they need it empty? :brows: I'm guessing 4 years.
  18. if I went with a decal, the logo image can't really be shrunk anymore and so they'd be huge, like 12x6". :dunno: The fact that someone here can alter a vector file makes it appealing though... :brows: I'll think about it some more and see if I can come up with a plan. :typing:
  19. the problem with that is the image for a vinyl cut would cost a bunch of money just to get altered, whereas with the stickers I can just send them a j-peg.
  20. My MJ is anything but a clunker. Hence our outrage when the government labeled them all clunkers.
  21. probably a minivan. :teehee:
  22. the year is important. only certain years are swappable. but if the backside looks like the backside of your unit, it should swap in. What is wrong with your current cluster? Did you know that you can upgrade to a full cluster with only needing to acquire the cluster, the temp and the oil pressure sending units?
  23. if you reuse you current leafs, you can measure to get the lift you'll gain over the current height. But if you're adding in new leafs, that number will likely be different. Chances are slim that any 2 soa lifts will come out the same. that's due to the inherent variables in the parts themselves, but also that no 2 lifts seem to be done exactly the same way. for example, I've got 2wd packs with an extra main as an AAL, sitting on who-knows perches on a ford 9" (with a gazillion pounds of added weight in and on the truck). but that number won't help you much. :dunno: Sometimes ya gotta just do it and see what happens. then adjust as necessary.
