  1. whats the best way to find tdc? and i think i have the distributor in the proper place. I'm checkin timing and spark tonight
  2. wish i woulda read better. all i saw was "did anyone mention 2wd being different from 4wd" my b
  3. Umm i believe the distributor is from a 88 but it was a jy dist. i set the timing off the mark on the pulley on the bottom of the motor. what are the differences between a 2 and 4wd motor? ive never heard of there being 1
  4. i was told by my local mechanic that i needed to keep my 88 flywheel, cps, and computer so thats what i did. it still has the 88 wiring harness and 88 manifolds
  5. i put a 96 ho 4.0 in my 88 mj. had a 4.0 to begin with but was 2wd so i swapped it. won't run, have fuel and i believe the timing is set right. ive checked it and it seems ok. can't get it to fire, it turns over but just won't fire. i have the 88 flywheel and cps. do i need a 88 tps?
  6. i payed 50 for mine off of craigslist and they were mj specific buckets with the "wing backs"
  7. i need to know which relay is for the fuel pump on my 88 comanche. 4.0. i don't hear the fuel pump engage so i wanna start there. pullin the fuel line to see if there is any fuel comin out tonight.
  8. thanks guys. i droped the slave cyclender at the machine shop for the overall shape and gave him the dimention. now i just gotta wait til the guy has free time so that i get it done at no cost.
  9. its a 2.5 gas with a external slave cylinder on the manual transmission. it needs a spacer that i can't find anywhere so any help would be appriciated
  10. Does anyone know the dimentions of the spacer? or anything at all?
  11. So i lost the little spacer that goes in between the slave cyclender and the tranny. no one local to me has one. does anyone have one or know where i can get one
  12. Alright. i was thinkin about replacing the external slave cylender but ill check the line first. its a metal line though so i doubt it punctured.
  13. i was in the process of replacing my clutch in my 86 with a 2.5. not sure what tranny. anyways, i put the new clutch in and had everything together when i went to bleed the clutch. when i was pumping the clutch pedal there was NO pressure at all. while the pedal is being pumped you can see fluid run out from the clutch/bell housing. any ideas?
  14. There is also one at buds auto parts in greenville and another at lkq self service auto parts in holland mi
  15. The miss is occasional, occoring mostly in 3rd gear for some reason. I'm getting a new clutch for it in the morning. i put autolite plugs in it but a local mechanic told me to put champion copper core plugs in it and it'll help
