  1. still pavement, but muuuuuuch better. :D Nice view.
  2. "change for the sake of change" is one of my pet peeves. :fs1:
  3. For the briefest of moments I was geeked that it's only a 10% deposit required on the day of the auction, then I read the next line that states a $1000 minimum. :fs1:
  4. I'm running XJ Upcountry Springs in the front under two (2) spring isolators and get 19", 3" Motion Offroad standard load lift leaves out back for a measurement of 22". The lift leaves are only netting me 1.5" off lift :hmm: I do have a cap on the back though... Anyone have objections to throwing a 2" spacer sandwiched between the two isolators up front? what else are you doing to accommodate the extra 2"? control arms? shocks? track bar? brake lines?

    Lets talk WJ

so then the debate is whether it's more like a Dana 35 or a Peugeot? aka; is it simply a common failure, or an inevitable failure? :D

  7. Thanks for the pic.. it went in my AWESOME JEEP SHOTS folder!! That's one GOOD LOOKIN' 'manche you have there!! CW correction. it should go in your "awesome Jeeps" folder. The shot sucks. it's a jeep. in a driveway. :ack: At least the angle is decent. a good 3/4 look at the truck.
  8. You should start yourself a project thread for all the photos. Can you take a side shot of the coils? I imagine the bow forwards a bit. How about a couple shots of how the radius arms mount to the body?
  9. still tweaking the sticker image. I'm thinking that a decal will likely be just text.
  10. CW's new photos aren't showing up. they are only 320x240, but the forum tells me they are over 1300 wide (which is the max). :dunno: The old previously posted photos show up just fine.
  11. 1989 jeep comanche 2 wheel drive - $300 (jasper ga) Date: 2010-04-22, 2:22PM EDT Reply to: sale-bv3db-1704913433@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] ive had this truck for 2 years, solid body, engine runs perfectly. needs a new transmission and clutch. need it gone by saturday. will have to arrange for pick up because i have no way of hauling it. please contact me by phone e mail rarely checked, 678-454-0592 ask for brad. its a 5 speed transmission and the engine is a 4.0 6 cylinder the engine has over 200,000 miles on it. really good work truck, or every day driver. * Location: jasper ga
  12. are you lifting the truck at all, or is it just an axle swap? you could just measure what the truck has now and then use that number on the new axle.
  13. there are a couple kits out there for properly attaching tow hooks to the front of an MJ/XJ. they are likely your cheapest option.
  14. I can only imagine if I didn't regularly spray my georgia truck down with insect killer. The shear number and variety of creepy crawlys down there is just astonishing. Let it never be said that there isn't at least one benefit to northern winters. :D
  15. It took me a lot of head scratching to make the radius arms work properly under my Jeep. I'm always curious as to how others did it. :D
  16. extraction points should still come first.
  17. make sure you go through it and wipe off the surfaces with a cleaner.
  18. the fork is known to crack. probably didn't have much to do with shimming unless maybe you used one too many washers. :dunno: I don't seem to have the photo anymore, but one guy used a hose clamp directly on the shaft to keep the collar in place. seemed to work.
  19. our info gets backed up on an almost regular basis. Plus our server host has a backup of everything too.
  20. have you experienced 3.55s and 33s yet? I've got 4.10s and wish I had 4.56 or 4.88 gears.
  21. I don't recommend a fog application. that stuff gets on everything. :( try to find a more localized poison like food or a spray.
  22. and if the price starts really low, I may sneak in a bid just to say I bid on it. :D bidder registration is only 20 bucks and that cost includes the entrance fee ($10).
