  1. who was it that would pop up every once in a while asking about these? :hmm:
  2. that's gotta bite. :(
  3. interesting hood prop location. :hmm: transition from the 86 era version?
  4. maybe it's like the Dana 35 and Peugeot. some guys are lucky, some not so much. :dunno:
  5. you've been properly breaking in those new guts before testing it, yes?
  6. That only has a prayer if the bearing is intact. :( Mine was toast with only the outer case remaining. grease just squirted out at me when I tried that method. The rented puller from Autozone (and lots of days soaking in PB Blaster) eventually worked.
  7. I'll be down there towards the end of this month. Keep me posted. :D

I wish. that crd is to him, what my 88 is to me. guess I'll just need to get my own someday.
  10. if they are a stock flare, I'm betting 95-01 explorer. 02+ are pretty thin.
  11. and this is why I shy away from installing gears. Something goes wrong and it can take out everything in one fell swoop (including your whole truck as you almost found out). :(
  12. looooogaaaaanviiiillllle.... :brows: assuming the body is solid anyways. :dunno: titles are for wusses. :D
  13. Nice combo. :D I'm rocking 99 TJ stuff.
  14. don't listen to him, MO is waaay too far away. :D
  15. :D nah, it's a left and a right half. you need one of each to make one animal.
  16. If it's a solid truck, I know of a place up in Loganville where you could deposit the empty carcass for safe keeping. :D No slicing of the sheetmetal though.
  17. so I brought back a whole mess of shells from florida. 8) today I had a chance to open up the boxes and start sterilizing and organizing them. As i was going along I noticed that all the examples of this one particular variety of mollusk were the one side. There were no corresponding mirroring halves. :hmm: Eventually I discovered I had one. One solitary other side. I find this quite perplexing and have not yet come across an answer. :dunno: I mean, the animal had them when it was alive. Is the missing half the bottom half? as in it was stuck in the mud when it died and the upper half was more likely to wash away? Is the tastier bits attached to one side or the other? Did the little mermaid steal them all?
  18. I've never had to replace a fuel line. :dunno: and I live in southern michigan no less.
  19. fired them up and puttered the fleet across the parking lot (pushed the 88).
  20. what is it that you're calling a "diff angle"?
  21. they should lean back slightly. Unless the particular car asks for 0* like some of the old Scouts. I don't remember for sure, but I wanna say that MJs got 5* from the factory. any less as the truck will wander on the road. (the right amount of caster gives the truck it's return-to-center for the steering)
  22. gotta fix your caster first. camber is not adjustable (except with special offset ball joints).
