  1. not the big back door, but the rear drivers side door. pops open about a half inch and that's it. :dunno: Happened soon after that door's window regulator broke (will be fixing that with the Steiger Performance repair kit). Any thoughts? The interior panel is off and so far violence isn't helping. :(
  2. I love my hat. :D fits my big head, covers my ears from the sun, and to me it exudes a sense of calm (since the hat is synonymous with surfers, fishermen, and old people... all notorious "energy conservationists" :D )
  3. yeah. totally. I mean, who'd want to go real fast in a Jeep? totally crazy people, that's who.
  4. only if you wrap it around you fuel line so it polarizes the flux core particles inside the atomizer additive.
  5. hotlinking to his photo is technically not copying. :D
  6. Thanks everyone! I've got more than enough to cover the magnets. though I'll never stop anyone that wants to donate. all monies go towards Comanche Club related things.
  7. 454 then. it's a huge, thirsty v8. :D
  8. from what he described ("axle shafts don't stick out through the wheels") he's got a semi floater now. 8 bolt for sure. He's up in Michigan, but it's doubtful that he'd be crazy about driving that 8.1 all the way to GR. :ack:
  9. a friend of mine is in need of a replacement rear axle assembly for his 96 gmc 3500 (bearings in the diff are going south and I was figuring on swapping the entire thing if I can find one cheap enough). It's a non-dually 2wd with 3.73 gears. anyone know offhand what I'm dealing with here? I don't have the truck in front of me yet. I'm guessing it'd be a 14 bolt. :dunno: Is this one of those instances where any ol' 3.73 14 bolt will do? Maybe even a Dana 60?
  10. yeah, he's kinda already got my phone number and email addy. not sure I want a hundred rabid MJ fans tearing his door down. I might get blamed. :peek: Unless they were tearing down the door in order to snatch the MJ back. I might not mind that. :D
  11. just explain to her that you needed to save it from a horrible fate. :D
  12. you guys are awesome. I'll order the magnets when I swing by to pick up the logo decals on friday. now I gotta figure out who all got the IOUs so I don't miss anyone. :hmm:
  13. yeah, well, at this point, I don't really expect to get that smashed up door anyways. :fs1: I'd feel lucky to get a photo. I'm sending it to you. feel free to, well, do as you please. :D or not.
  14. didn't ask that. didn't even seem to be willing to swap doors. :dunno: I can PM you his #
  15. welp, just got off the phone with the current owner, and yup, it's being entered in a demo derby. nope, I can't get what I want before the race, but he might be willing to part with it afterwards (yes, I did ask that question :D ). If nothing else, that truck has lived quite a life.
  16. soooooo, then you two are in favor of keeping the magnets? :hmm:
  17. depends on where the slop is. Have someone saw the wheel back and forth while you look and feel all the joints up front. be sure to check the track bar too.
  18. I made sure not to name names. :D
  19. well, one person cares enough to voice an opinion. :dunno: paypal for site donations is: ComancheClub@hotmail.com be sure to spell it right. :D (yes, some have misspelled it)
  20. glad to hear it was something simple.
  21. gotcha. that should do the trick.
  22. you saw the photos. the truck was already written off as dead. maybe we should see it as a small respite from the crusher. one last hurrah so to speak. :dunno:
  23. your mirrors should have a brace on the inside of the door. If you move the mirrors, it might cause issues. :dunno:
  24. I tried roofing tar on the floor of my 88. never did dry. :( I eventually gave up on it and just reinstalled the carpet. Hopefully the stuff you used dries.
