the rockers in my 88 look like that. Or at least they would, if the bedliner wasn't precariously holding the rust peieces together. :D I might be doing something similar to what you're contemplating, so take lots of pics of the new rockers. :thumbsup:

A solid rollbar in the bed (tied to the frame of course) can go a long way towards savin' your noggin' for anything but the worst rollovers. :thumbsup:

the hood does shut (I saw it closed later on) and the damaged area has rust forming so it wasn't something that happened recently. :dunno:

ok, slight problem. I thought my flight was on Tuesday. turns out it's monday. and I have to leave for the airport before the sticker store opens. when it rains, it pours. :( I'll leave the money behind and Mom should be able to pick them up, but I won't be able to get them out til I return next weekend. sorry all. :doh:

Flying to Florida tomorrow. Will be driving a friend's van back to Michigan for her. Stopping off in Georgia to visit my sis on the way back. Will return home next weekend. until then my internet will be fairly sporadic, but I will check in as often as possible. :thumbsup:

I'm back. got lots of photos and even a vid of the MJ auction, but I gotta run to go help a friend who's ford broke down again so I'll upload everything later today. :cheers: Long story short, I got to meet the new owner (an AMC fan and owner of another MJ) and one of the guys from the original land speed build! Both now know of our little slice of the net and hopefully both will stop by. :yes:

I'm running XJ Upcountry Springs in the front under two (2) spring isolators and get 19", 3" Motion Offroad standard load lift leaves out back for a measurement of 22". The lift leaves are only netting me 1.5" off lift :hmm: I do have a cap on the back though... Anyone have objections to throwing a 2" spacer sandwiched between the two isolators up front? what else are you doing to accommodate the extra 2"? control arms? shocks? track bar? brake lines?

so then the debate is whether it's more like a Dana 35 or a Peugeot? aka; is it simply a common failure, or an inevitable failure? :D

You should start yourself a project thread for all the photos. :thumbsup: Can you take a side shot of the coils? I imagine the bow forwards a bit. How about a couple shots of how the radius arms mount to the body?

CW's new photos aren't showing up. they are only 320x240, but the forum tells me they are over 1300 wide (which is the max). :dunno: The old previously posted photos show up just fine.
