  1. Thanks everyone for the information.
  2. I ended up taking the one out of my daily driver last night but now I need one for it. I didn't think it would fit because the brakes and knuckles are completely different. I tried swapping a wheel bearing out of a early 90 xj and it had a different wheel bearing and stub shaft length :hmm: Should I upgrade both sides to CV style? I like the sealed aspect but is it worth losing the simplicity of the U-joint?
  3. Hate to make a new topic to ask this but: What year XJ, MJ or TJ have the same drivers side axle shaft and stub shaft as an 89 comanche? Very much appreciated if you guys can help me out with this before the long weekend.
  4. anyways, a long long time ago i fixed this with the new harmonic balancer. used a puller kit and had enough room without moving the radiator! it took 30 minutes. but you guys are right, there isn't any adjustment to the water pump pulley other than maybe some shims or washers but none was necessary. i de-burred the flanges and I haven't had a problem since!
  5. so either a dog or two girls can sit in the cab with me. i've got knee and back problems so what ever i put in has to raised about 4 inches. i might as well get what ever is cheap and accessible if i'm just going to be welding it in. i'm in canada remember!
  6. they aren't common, they bolt up to the currently busted and bent studs in my floor, and they are small and have a gap in the center.
  7. does anyone know what bench seats will fit in the MJ? i want something with a thin back, like a toyota but full width from door to door. i'm going to weld it in so it just has to fit inside. i tried an old ram 150 but it was 4 inches too wide.
  8. hey, i'm looking for a thread i found a while ago, that listed everything that was swappable from xj and other vehicles that is an upgrade to the mj. i know i saw zj coils and some control arms from something else. anyone know the thread i'm talking about?
  9. i got a new water pump about a year ago but my friend reused my pulley and its got some dings in it so i fixed them all up but should probably adjust it when the rest of the pulleys are accounted for.
  10. lol today i looked again at it and touched the pulley and realized there was rubber between it and thought: well theres my problem. thanks! going to order one asap. hopefully it isn't 50 bucks though..
  11. Is it common for the crank pulley to come out of line with the rest of the pulleys? My 4l will force the belt off the main pulley within the first revolution every time. And it doesn't take long after that to chew it up (10 mins) so after making sure all my pulleys were smooth and spinning straight, it looks a lot like the main is slowly creeping forwards away from the motor.
  12. 11l/100km or 21mpg 4.0 5spd renix
  13. o ya. is my tire size going to affect the odometer? i thought 235/75 was stock.
  14. :Canadaflag: :chillin:
