  1. check your left side turn indicators for corrosion in the sockets.
  2. also depends on what you've done to it and what you want out of it. dollar for dollar, gears will give you the best kick-in-the-rear power improvement. (especially if larger-than-stock tires are involved)
  3. do you know anyone with a similar jeep so you can check if the module works?
  4. I would start with an 87-90 4.0 2wd truck and build it up from there.
  5. car-part.com shows a 4.0 block near little rock for 150. I searched for just the block rather than the whole engine. 1989 Engine Block Jeep Cherokee 4.0L,STOCK NO. 001807034 $150 Arkansas Wholesale Auto Salvage USA-AR(North-Little Rock) 1-501-945-2886/ 888-945-9685 same place had a complete engine for 200 1989 Engine Jeep Cherokee 4.0L VIN L AT CORE ONLY,STOCK NO. 001807033 $200 Arkansas Wholesale Auto Salvage USA-AR(North-Little Rock) E-mail 1-501-945-2886/ 888-945-9685
  6. it happens. :D
  7. just as a general rule of thumb, questions from you about your truck should go in the Tech forum (so they and their answers will become part of the database). The project forum is more for you to show off your truck and for others to ask you questions about it.

  9. 16 pounder. what was the problem with the system before you swapped in the new radiator?
  10. low pinion. almost every rear axle ever is low pinion. low pinion on the left, high on the right:
  11. "reverse rotation" is an improper term. nothing actually rotates in reverse. A more correct term is reverse cut, since the ring gear teeth are cut in the other direction. High pinion differentials use reverse cut gears. Low pinion diffs use regular cut gears.
  12. do the wipers still work without the delay module?
  13. Both things can happen. there's simply no guarantee that it'll bolt back up the first try. and you might want to pop that request in the classifieds.
  14. Yup, that's how I've done it. arms first, coils second. still hard, but not as hard.
  15. clearly you've never had a trans crossmember bolt snap off due to rust. I hate rust.
  16. nah. not even my 90 (31s/3.55s) has the exact correct gear. :(
  17. lots of out trucks look better in photos than they do in person. Wade's truck looks exactly as awesome as it appears in photos. seen it with my own eyes.
  18. that's some serious dedication to a project. mad props to the guy. I'll sum it up, he made this H1 replica mostly from scratch and put it on an f-150 frame with a diesel engine.
  19.
  20. home sweet home. :D Greeted with one insanely ecstatic dog and a big box of magnets. dang that's a lot of magnets.
  21. people swore left and right that my 99 TJ slave was not bleed-able. :dunno: I almost believed them, until i found that little allen screw on the bottom. bled the line just fine. No clue as to where that rumor comes from. :hmm:
  22. said hi to my georgia MJ. :waving:
  23. that's the way to do it.
  24. florida was awesome. :D sadly we leave the beach in the morning, bound for dad's house in GA. bout a 9 hour drive. then continuing on to Michigan on Friday (12 hours :ack: ). Internet is always sketchy at the GA place, and I'll be on the road a lot the next 2 days so please be patient if I'm needed for anything.
  25. None of the literature I have says anything about an upgrade over the 18gal in swb. it was the upgrade for the small tank (16 gal?) in the lwb. later on it was made standard on the lwb.
