I’m trying to see what combos people have on their trucks with tire, rim and lift sizes. Personally, I want to see some 31x10.50x15 tires on stock rims at stock height because that’s what I’m considering next tire change, but let’s see what everyone’s got!

Feels mostly like stock to me, lost a little bit of grunt going up to that tire size - planning on swapping out the axles to get different gearing (3.07 to 4.10) as I intend to use the rig primarily to tow the boat around - but no complaints just driving it for fun with a light or no load.

Also - think I put the LCA's in back-assward, but haven't noticed any problems, will get around to turning them around one of these days - think the oval bushing is supposed to be on the axle side - had a 50/50 shot of getting it right......

Reviving my thread because I’m trying to make a choice: cut some coils and install shackles for a 2 inch lift or just go all out and get the rusty add a leaf 3inch lift. I’ve got to put my Dana 44 in soon and I want to do this all at one time. So, anyone have pictures of 31’s on 2inches or 3 inches of lift? Some side profiles preferred, I wanna see how it sits from the side.

88towmanche's truck you see above has about what you're looking for.  :L:  pucks are generally preferred over cutting a coil.

My truck is on about a 3” with 31s.
if you want to run an OEM Jeep wheel, you can run 31s with no lift and WJ LCAs. If I were to build one of these trucks again though, I’d build it very similarly, suspension wise. I did an AAL in the rear (from a set of XJ 4.5” lift springs, or somewhere near there), and a set of unknown brand 3” lift coils.

I measured between 2.5-3" rear with no idea what kind of springs they are, and 3" pucks in front. 31x10.5r15 with similar backspace to stock wheels. Rusty's LCAs to clear the tires. I'm gathering parts for 4.5" and maybe going up to 32s.

Cutting springs is dangerous. The only springs that can be cut safely are tangential ended, ours are squared. It will make the spring rate stiffer and if it gets heated over 400 deg it will anneal the steel and ruin the spring.

I’m looking at some 3 inch lift kits, with Rusty’s and Rough Country being the 2 at the top so far due to their price. I’ve heard some mixed reviews about both. Anyone have anything to say about either of them? Many of the posts I saw were older, so have they changed since?

I have the 3" add a leaf. easy install. rides ok, little rougher than before. I have since added a shackle and a lift puck to give me about 4" or 4.5". I don't have a photo handy but they are in my thread.

4.5" coils in the front. Stock 2wd leafs with SOA on a 8.8 with 32x11.50R15.

Will probably add another 3/4" spacer to the front.

Around 6 inches with stock JK size tires (around 32") on 17" aftermarket wheels. I used 5.5" RE springs, RRO drop brackets, Core4x4 control arms and track bar, and spring over in the rear on 2wd springs with longer shackles.
