Not a joke if you read what they put into it. Sounds almost like the took my old project truck and tricked it out but mine was an '89 Longbed with stroker six I was too sick to finish.

I'm not talking about the price

what i can't get past is why spend so much money on fixing up a vehicle

but have the paint job look like a 2 year old painted it

i mean, all brown everything really ?

they could have at least painted the flares black

or the front bumper any other color

Yeah this guy did some weird things on this build.  I'm still wondering why he pulled a 66k mile original motor...  50k miles either direction on the 4.0L is nothing.

It's an '86, that's why.

Besides the 2.8...........age, age is worse for wear than miles.

Good point.  Missed that it was an 86

I'm not going to defend this seller as I did another............heims on steering.......

That said, XJ 2dr, cab stretch, short bed to allow for cab stretch.........

When you pull that one off and get away with it, paint ain't that bad either..........then you can criticize all you want. Until then.......crickets.

From the pics, seller did a nice job with the stretch.

One thing I have learned:  There is no shortage of different tastes in the world.  One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Generally, with projects like this, I simply like to see the workmanship and effort put into them.  Even if I don't like the project itself.

Why the crap paint job??  Maybe he just got tired of the unfinished project.  Maybe he was running out of money?

My biggest item on this project?  Why not use a Comanche roof line rather than the Cherokee roof?  Yes, I know the Cherokee roof is the easy way out.

neat!  always wondered what a stretched MJ would look like with 2door doors.  would need a LOT more details about the stretch before any thought was given to purchase it (even at a third what he's asking).

and I agree on that brown. needs more accents or contrasting colors.  and put the b-pillar vent back!

It looks wrong with the 2dr doors. Totally out of proportion. I respect the work that went into it though. Kinda sad to see such a low mileage MJ get hacked up, but who knows, it could've been rusty or something.

I "think" the cab vents would help with the rear cab pillar.  Right now it just looks too "thick".

Also, the proper Comanche roof line would be a couple of inches higher and look a bit more "normal" to us.

Some trim along the lower part of the doors, fenders and bed would also help out.

Ya been looking at that for a couple week now it's on CList inLA too. It looks nice. I like the color. Noticed the there isn't many interior pic. Not sure if he is going to see 15 grand. I hope so, that would be good news for all on us. Best of luck to him.

I wanted to make mine similar but with a CJ 1/2 cab style pass through between the cab/box and a crank up window for when the canopy is off.

There are a couple ways to make a rig similar to this but the "best" is to not cut the frame, but cut the back of the cab off to the floor line and use another cab back 1/2 to extend it on a longbed frame.

I'd like an MJ with XJ 2dr doors.  The extra cab room would be awesome.  I agree, the Cherokee roof looks odd on an MJ and the pillar vents should not have been deleted.

I think its freakin sweet. I absolutely love the concept. I actually like the color too, pair that with some black interior and hot d**n. The wagoneer front clip doesnt hurt either.

I wouldn't know what to do with all that extra cab room, but I too am very curious how they grafted the two chassis together.

Would kill to see more pics/get more build information.

Judging from the fact that the seller posted a number of how to pics for the double DIN stereo, I would bet a call or email would get some answers from the seller.
