Ls2xjcomanche Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Love the attention to detail on your build. Subscribed to your YouTube channel. Look forward to seeing the end result and the upholstery work.
Jeep Driver Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 Group 78 batteries are a bit different in size so I made a new hold down.
JMO413 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 That battery hold down bracket is nice! Where did you get that from?
Jeep Driver Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 Thanks. I made it from a piece of aluminum stock that I had.
JMO413 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 I just read through your whole build. You do amazing work. That push button start is wicked. Can't wait for the next update.
kansashogan Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Looking good, that hold down is a good idea.
MJXJjeepguy Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Read the whole page... That definitely make me 110% more motivation!! Beautiful built!!
kansashogan Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Did you make the patch panels? Regardless they look good.

Automotive wise this is the most challenging undertaking I've attempted. Those panels are curved, the radius is curved.......what a b*@ch...... Considering I've never done anything like this, I think it's turning out OK. I've got to cut in for the frenching buckets now........thank god for Bondo.
kansashogan Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Dang, you frenched them in. I bet that was a pain.

Jeep Driver Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 Bed is lose and ready to come off. Frame will be cleaned and painted as well as the bottom of the bed.

Jeep Driver Posted April 14, 2019 Author Posted April 14, 2019 To the left is a welded on ground stud, all grounds at the rear will go to this stud. To the right of the stud is a square nut I welded in on both sides for muffler hanger mount. Cable running out of frame, I'll explain in vid. Another ground stud welded to frame, this one is for the fuel pump and possibly the new sending unit. New Daystar bump stops. Not for appearance sake- will explain in upcoming vid- I had some rot here at the top of the tub, two layers of glass. Tubs will get blacked out with undercoater just as the frame did.
