Minuit
Was there a company actually making these things? That's two now this month. Thought it was a custom job, but still cool.
SW86
i thought the member here with the other was selling it? could this be the same one?
Minuit
They do look pretty similar but not identical. If you're talking about the last Comanche of the Month, it's got stripes down the middle (matched to the camper) and the mirrors and wheels look different. Comanche County
Its strange how some people have MJs (or MJ based vehicles) and never do an online search about them. They would have found us.
gogmorgo
Yeah... There's one I've spotted driving a couple times here in Stoon (tried flagging him down, he just looked at me like I was crazy) and a buddy says he keeps seeing another going past his house that isn't any of the ones I've seen/know of. I've had to quit looking at the ads because it makes me sad I can't adopt them all, but I've been tempted to reply to some of them with just the Comanche Club url. It just feels too much like spamming.
Pete M
don't just reply with the url, add a note with it. Like, if they say that such-and-such on the truck is bad, offer up the site as a way to help them fix it.

jeepin4on4
Ok guys, I now have 2 of the campers so where is the 3rd one? #2 is being delivered from our neighboring country next week (back in the US finally). Last I heard #3 was in North Carolina, If so could someone get a contact number for me... last digit VIN #s 90 and 91 so the last one should be

jeepin4on4
Was this the one he mentioned? This one is a mess, it has to be towed here (unknown cost at the moment and we are diligently working with DMV to get it across the border) I did find that the VIN numbers are sequential as they were all registered the same day in 1990 as they were auctioned off. The first one I bough has been registered in California all its life, the one I just picked up was last registered 1998. Waiting on a lost title now. Vin Numbers first one 1JTMR65U5HT106491 (at my shop) Second one 1JTMR65U5HT106490 Both are Identical MJs Laredo package 4x4s All original Comanche campers that were built were the same and have a manufacture badge with 2 Vin numbers Camper and truck, some knock offs were made and registered as truck only. Original title naming by DMV was "Automobile House". Holloway Debraal was the commissioning company (money behind the deal) New Horizon supplied the campers, (looking for the Toyota alternative due to axle and rim law suits). Holloway Debraal files Chapter 11 and the BK court seized all assets to pay creditors. The 5 proto Types (yes 5 were made) were finally sold at auction in 1990. The trail goes cold after that and the court sealed the records. The 2 I have, one has original 83k original miles pristine OEM condition, the other one coming has 200k, (if the odometer is correct).
