Rymanrph
I went by the upholstery shop to see about having a tear fixed. Now I'm thinking about having both buckets recovered. I'll have to go back when the main guy is there; I hope its not too outrageous cause I'd really like to have some nice dark gray vinyl buckets to match my new carpet. ComancheKid45
Hmmmm, I stole the rod and mount for the rear prop valve off my parts truck today and installed it on mine, it acctually will work again now if i ever need it 2, lol I have some rust to deal with on the rear frame area but i don't think its too substancial and should be fixable. Exhaust is finally not leaking anymore either and sounds SO much better. Might acctually go wheeling Monday

Wildman
wildman it looks like yours would be a good candidate for a flat bead or a new bed and I'm still waiting on a pic of the whold band I think I hear you the first time  Yes, I have a newer bed in the shop.........just no time to paint it and swap it out :fs1: You seen the whole fleet.......several times I've posted that up......but you can find them here- (need to add some summer pictures  ) I still cringe and get a chill up my spine every time I see an MJ THAT rusty! Its just sooo sad to see. But good too to see that it is still serving it purpose, and still have the charchter that these trucks have. Yea, I don't like it either :( But, mechanically it's top notched :D Just redone the front end this weekend.....again. Just rolled 260 miles on it yesterday  What I don't like is some of the ones in the fleet that don't look real bad.......until you look underneath, and see a section of frame missing :headpop: They kind of go this way........ WBKrazy
got the 2.5 and ax4 out! did the RMS, oil pan and valve cover gaskets on the 4.0, unfortunately i broke a valve cover bolt off in the head! D'oh! and broke the knock sensor trying to knock a broken manifold stud out! doube D'oh! and i also found out that 87 and 90 wiring harnesses will NOT work with each other.. so now i gotta find a 90 somewhere to strip a harness out of.. other than that the swap is going well, motor and trans will hopefully be in tomorrow then it's just a matter of finishing the little stuff
2360
Had the speed-0 flip 500,000. I put on about 440,000 of them. Also did an oil change. Was planning on buying some cheap oil on special at Wal-Mart, 5 litres for $7.88. But I decided to do the 500 grand treat for the motor and got some quality Shell Rotella 15-40W. Shell claims 22% less friction. I've still got the original power steering and rear end fluid, but I did top up the diff the other day. I think I cured that weird noise at rear right wheel when I back up.

kastein
Yikes, Wildman, I think you can fit 35s at stock height on that thing :rotf: should look way better with the new bed! drove it to work... MjAllTheWay I'd  you about doing that but looked down and realized I was doing 90mph this morning, accelerated to pass someone and didn't even think about it, I love this thing, I still have my spare drivetrain and engine hoist (figure half a ton of stuff) in the back and it didn't even drop out of overdrive to hit 90 on flat ground. Problem is I need to find a day with nothing to do, 'cause whenever we meet we end up shooting the $#!& for hours until the whole day is pretty much gone. Phone usually lasts shorter because the battery won't go that long. :D And to stay on topic, mine is currently sitting on stock tires (looks stupid with the lift and cut front fenders, 5 35x12.50s in the bed, as well as toolbox, two coolers and the front drive shaft (long story), rest is in the trailer. Leaving in 3-4 hours to have a weekend of fun off road at Jeepskool.
