what did you do to your MJ today?

I got home to today to find the muffler hanging from both pipes, just resting on the flange of the muffler. I have a glasspack that came on my CJ, so that is going under there until I spring for a new exhaust. :shake:

Replaced TPS. Fixed frayed/broken wires on back up light switch. Painted keying scratches with left-over white from the Dodge paintjob, painted lower front bumper fairing, pulled heater valve rod out to get heat working again after yesterday's coolant/T-stat/radiator hose replacement.

Jacked it up, and crawled under it the first time since winter........trying to figure out where the burned gear oil smell is coming from :hmm:

Ended up topping off all the gear oil spots.......check the bottom end out to see what fell off this past winter.

Did find the front right U-joint is shot :fs2:

Next month.........time for total service on the 'ole girl, getting it ready for annual inspection again

Today I moved the CB antenna from on top of the cab to the left rear bumper. Still have to run the wire to it.

I painted the top the header panel and touched up some other spots on the wiper grill.

Replaced portion of the plastic piping from the value cover.

That took about 8 hrs.

That's a nice looking topper!!

Make sure you have a good ground on that antenna. The ground plane will suk with mounting it that lo to the ground, but the 102" of ariel will help some. Side of the bed is better if you don't mind drilling holes. You get at least a 2" SQ ground plane.

Mounted up a couple of 305/70/16 Maxxis Bighorns to replace my two front bald ones. Found two used tires of the exact same brand and size as the ones that I've been running. About 10/32" tread for $20 each at a tire store.

Had a hell of a time getting these on my beadlocks. Couldn't break the bead on the first one. Then couldn't seat the bead on the second one. But it's all done now. Used 8 oz. of Airsoft pellets in each tire.

New headlight bulbs...

I converted to H4's a couple years back. Upgraded the wiring last year. I swapped in some new bulbs I got off EBay... I have been running a set of these in my Lil commuter mazda and I really liked them so I picked up a couple more sets for the other Jeeps...

Sorry for the cell pic..

Yellow is much easier on oncoming drivers eyes. Penetrates wet roads fog and snow much better.

I threw the flares on and hit them with some paint, just to see what it looks like. They are a bit higher than stock. I've thought about making them removable, but I'm thinking more about just adding more screws and considering them sacrificial instead.

I got to see a Concorde land and take off once, in Battle Creek, MI.... British air was sending a bunch of its pilots to school at Western Michigan University's Battle Creek Pilot traing program..... friggin shweet! That was obviously before the Concordes were retired..... what a great way to get to school though! Battle Creek has an ANG base... Ft Custer.... A10 Warthogs fly around town every weekend! I love them things! Great lookin Air show though, where was it at?

Hey pete what happened to 9 shades of red ?

I'm digg'in the military look though , would look sweet with some desert painted D windows ..

They are fighting to get back out. :shake: I hate rust.

I painted it last year. Still thinking about doing a camo job on it. There's no way to touch up the "paint" I used with more of the same, so I figure I can just blend all the trouble spots into the camo.
