From what I've seen, 3800 superchargers are either mounted on top of the intake with an adaptor (which can require you to cut the hood), or side mounted, with a custom intake. https://www.boostedtech.com/superchargers/jeep-cherokee/cherokee-4-0-liter-6-cylinder-side-mount-supercharger/ You need to rig a new belt setup, fuel management, etc The other option is an M90 from a Ford 3.8 SC, but it mounts in place of the AC compressor, which I'm not willing to part with.

Which Battery Operated Impact Do You Own?
scguy replied to Tex06's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
As a mechanic, Milwaukee has by far the best assortment of automotive power tools. I use most all Milwaukee M12 Fuel stuff, 3/8" stubby impact, 3/8 ratchet, 1/2" Fuel drill, etc everyday. I have all Milwaukee at the house, multitool, Sawzall, 1/4" impact, drill, etc. I do want to get a mid or high torque 1/2" M18 impact one of these days, but since my work is primarily driveability, electrical and HVAC, I don't have much need for it. -
This dream garage scenario is fun. My answers might not be totally conventional though. This is assuming like new condition unless otherwise noted, and that I don't have to worry about maintaining these myself unless I really want to. Such an excellent example of a beautiful truck. Props to you for maintaining it so well, I wish more Comanche owners had done so.
-
What a great looking truck. I like the wheels, I have the same ones in grey.

Thanks, man. It's rough, especially having to pay out of pocket for them to essentially do nothing. I mean, we were in the ER waiting room the better part of a day, had 1 test and an ultrasound and it was like $7k. There was a total of maybe 20 minutes actually being tested or speaking to someone. Nothing like kicking a family when they're down.

Because there's lots of things that you need a truck for that an SUV won't cut it. Need to pick up a cubic yard of fill dirt? Try that in an SUV. The great equalizer? A trailer. You can always hook a trailer up to a SUV, truck, shoot, even a minivan. That's why I don't worry so much about bed size.

NC and TN are absolutely crawling with JTs. As much as I like the look of a regular cab truck, they're just not very practical as a daily driver if you have any sort of family.

I'm looking for something more in the 20-25 cu ft range. Upright freezer

I sure pray it's not going to the same place the first one went, to hospital bills to partially pay for our miscarriage in February. Probably a freezer, if I can find one.

A light switch is like, what, $1.50?

I also soldered in a new radio wiring connector so that I don't have to wiggle the radio around to make all the speakers work. The previous pigtail had spread pins that didn't fit correctly.

Pulled a 8.8 from a 98 5.0 Mountaineer yesterday. 3.73s, LSD, disc brakes. Couldn't turn it down for free. I'll be slowly prepping it for the MJ with SOA perches, new shock mounts, etc. Going to regear to 4.56.

I made Mississippi Pot Roast earlier this week. Maybe the easiest way to make tasty meat ever. ~3lb chuck roast, sear in skillet. Add to crockpot, top with 1 stick butter, 1 packet au jus gravy mix, 1 packet Ranch dressing mix. Add as many pepperoncini peppers as you'd like and 1/4 cup of the juice. Cook on low for 8hrs. I don't care much for regular roast, but man, this was good stuff. Save the drippings for gravy.

lift and tire setup thread

Don't think I've put mine here yet. Zone 4.5" lift, soon to be SOA rear on 32x11.50R15s. -
Don't tell my wife, but I'm in love.

Well, I was 25 and single, looking for a house. I didn't need much, almost bought an 800 sqft house, but ended up finding my current house up for auction as a HUD repo. I didn't care much about the house, but I liked the shop. I placed a low bid, and ended up winning. So here I was, single with a 2500 sqft, 4BR, 3BA house and a ~650sqft shop on 0.8 acres in town. It worked out well, because 4.5 years later, here I am married, with 1 kid, and another on the way in February.

Have you considered going with the 97+ washer tank inside the fender? Frees up a lot of space under the hood.
-
I'd eat off that. Looks good, man.

So I got my Pro Comp lights from@derf mounted. Still have to wire them, but I'm digging the look. Glad I didn't go LED lightbar.

Is that the TFL Comanche? Looks like it

It's a Montero Sport. Not as cool as the OG Montero. They never came with V8s, probably an AutoZone badge. Most had the crappy Mitsu 3.0 V6 that most people remember from how much oil they burn, leaving a blue cloud at every stoplight, courtesy of Mitsubishi's terrible valve stem seals.

Awesome, can't wait to see what this one ends up like. Always a good day to see another MJ on the path back to the road.
