  1. If they make a new MJ it better look like that. A little more modern looking than the genuine article but still clean and faithful. I like.
  2. Mud flaps!
  3. Is your truck automatic? If so, I would look at the flexplate to torque converter bolts. FP-TQ bolt sounds usually aren't consistent with RPM but it's possible if they've gotten really bad. Long shot, but it's easier than replacing things. Have you poked around with a screwdriver or stethoscope? That should at least help you pinpoint it a bit more precisely. I doubt a dented oil pan would cause noise by itself. Looking for engine parts in the oil is a good idea and what I would do in your case. That sounds really, really bad (and admittedly, rod knock-ish) but eliminate all of the less bad things before jumping to the worst possible conclusion.
  4. I love cool little projects like this. Might have to go grab one for myself some time.

    Politics

Pleasantly surprised by the calmness of this argument. I stand corrected, gentlemen. I usually associate politics with angry debate - that's just imbedded in my mind. More people need to stand up for what's right and not what's making money.
  6. You can agree or disagree with what happened in the days and years after 9/11 but on that day we were attacked and a lot of innocent people and a lot of our police and fire fighters were lost and that is what needs to be remembered.

:agree: This is a forum about trucks.
  8. 92 is considered by many to be the best year along with 91(there were no major changes between 91 and 92) There really isn't any debilitating issues specific to 92 but as with all MJs, check those floor pans. Post some more info and we'll help you out. There's a lot of very smart people here that can answer pretty close to any question you have!
  9. Always good to have spares
  10. Looks great.
  11. My MJ has killed a number of animals and the body is still arrow-straight, although I've replaced the front clip. Fire, water, and unibody damage are about the only things that can take our trucks down for good.
  12. I think it would be less of a 'cab stretch' and more of a 'cab replacement' but that's just my unimaginative late night thinking. :dunno:

I use imgur.com for all of my pics. It also supports thumbnails. Pretty simple IMO. Works flawlessly with CC's image function.
  14. Great! Never can have too many pics
  15. I'm pretty sure my truck was a radio delete and it still has the antenna.
  16. Your truck looks fantastic. I would go with the moldings, myself. They will probably do pretty well against door dings if you keep them in the same place.
  17. On a second thought, some of these pictures do look pretty sketchy. On the outside shot where you can see the whole truck, look at the joint between the original cab and the bed. It doesn't reflect any light like the 'paint' around it. I'm saying this is at least partly photoshopped. You'd have to be insane to actually build a vehicle like that. The upper cab chrome trim isn't straight either. Looks like a clone stamp job from that angle. Very clean '97 conversion, though.
  18. Yeah... that looks very sketchy from a durability point of view. Shame that it'll probably end up snapped in half eventually, because someone put a lot of work into that. Good idea, terrible execution. An extended cab MJ done in the normal way is something I'd love to see.
  19.
  20. Leave! Leave while you still can! Don't let yourself be sucked in! . :MJ 1: .
  21. I somehow don't think this is completely serious. I hope not, anyway. I'm not saying racism isn't a big problem but it seems like people are looking for it on purpose. The rest of the names are pretty stupid - our beloved trucks deserve no part in this article.
  22. I'm not a GM guy and certainly not a 2.8 guy but I think it's .045.
