  1. What's up fellas.... Ok to save cost I am swapping my 4.10 cad Dana 30 over to my Cherokee. I have the parts to swap over to the 297 u joint shafts.... My main question is do I swap brakes completely or does the old set fit on the newer axle and vice versa.... Thanks in advance
  2. What's up fellas This is for my Cherokee but I know I'll get more responses here than another forum.... I'm on a search for a 4.10 8.8 but I'm indecisive wether to get an lsd or not.... Obviously any would be good for me....I can always drop in an Aussie to an open carrier or just "try" and rebuild an lsd carrier..... What are your guys intake on this?
  3. It's not that much of a pain the butt... I got a yj ax15 and it did have the different clocking but better up than down especially for wheeling.... Here's mine...I just banged the tunnel a bit to fit the transfer case but it fits...,just make sure you have the ax15 crossmember with the 1" drop it helps a lot.... Got about an 1/2 clearance between the case and the tunnel
  4. I had a similar issue with my drum brakes...found out that my wheel cylinder wasn't engaging the pads to the drum.... No leaks or anything just stopped working....
  5. Bump
  6. Any Dana 44 is better than no 44.... Congrats man! Looking forward to this one....
  7. Yeah.... There's a reputable shop by my area that is good for their prices and their outstanding work but his "lead" time is bogus.... He'll tell you a week and it'll be done 2-3 weeks later... Hope it'll be done by Monday
  8. It depends on the spline count.... best to try it out....
  9. Best option is exploder 8.8 with disk brakes.... Or tj Dana 44....idk if they came with disk brakes...
  10. Nice! Might pick one up just to have
  11. The bronze color thing is the clutch fork.... And yes you need the front driveshaft...idk the difference from a b/a10 shaft to a ax15 but keep it as a spare even if you don't need it....
  12. Beast!!! One day I'll make out there...one day!
  13. Is there any other info? It is a pretty clean xj! Looks to have a Dana 44 rear....
  14. I may have to do my research again.... I read a while back that the yoke for the Dana 35, 44 and amc 20 are all the same.... I even have a spare 8.25 yoke sitting in the tool box....
  15. Yeah I have the part# 81004 for the straps just wanted to see if anyone else did the upgrade and haven't had any issues...
  16. What's up fellas I finally got my driveshaft and installed and noticed a stubborn bolt that doesn't fully seat... Before I break the bolt in the yoke I was thinking about doing the u-joint straps upgrade and get rid of the headache now.... Has anyone done this to their amc 20?
  17. A
  18. You can sell the doors alone....they'll probably can get you half your money back...and even more if you have the rear vent windows....especially the Dana 44 you mentioned in your other post....
  19. Wow! What a beautiful interior! I wish mine looked that good....
  20. Not necessarily but most common failures of manual trans is the slave cylinder....when it's external it's just swap and go...when it's internal it's drop the whole trans replace the clutch and slave while your at it....it's just more work
  21. Got a pic? You don't have to reclock... I have an 93 yj ax15 swapped from internal to external and all I did what beat the trans tunnel a bit and having the ax15 crossmember with the 1" drop..... It clears about 1/2" from any contact.... Here's mine
  22. What's up fellas I know it's a LONG shot but Does anyone know what are the lengths for 2wd xj driveshafts? Both manual and auto? Center to center. Thanks in advance
  23. Nice truck! Question? Where is the tail gate? I'd love to own one of these one day...once I learn how to rebuild a carb lol....
  24. Welp this xj has been gas and go.... Been picking up pcs here and there to install until I get my Comanche back on the road.... Found a zj skid and had to install it and the front engine skid....just need the nutserts to install the transfer case skid.... Enough talk more pics
