  1. Well Dana 30 rebuild is almost done... Ball joints-pain in the *****!!!!! 1pce axle shaft seal was a breeze! Upper control arm bushings were pretty easy... It's crazy with just the right tool for the job will make a job easy... Lokka locker install was pretty good...just make sure you have a good amount of grease holding the pcs in place.... Lokka locker!!! Solid diff cover
  2. She's looking lonely... Dana 30 getting stripped down... It got dark so didn't get that far into the pulling the carrier yet....I hate when it gets dark early..,
  3. Option 3... But something in less of awesome shape...if I'd pick one up in that condition id leave it alone...
  4. X2!!! I would've kept it white but let's see how the new color unfolds...
  5. Well finally took out the Dana 30 to rebuild and swap into the Cherokee to match gears and throw in the Cherokee's Dana 30 into the Comanche. Until I can regear to 4.88s... Quick rant,.,, My hood release cable broke a few weeks back and ordered a Dorman one.., I finally got a chance to install it today and 1st attempt to release the hood...IT BROKE!!!! So got to get a replacement one.., Also I finally got a new emission control duct hose from gates part# 28095 and..,,it doesn't fit!!!! And it's soooo flimsy...the original one was worn but it'll work better than that one... What a day!!!! But I'm hoping to swap axles by next weekend if the weather permits!!!
  6. Aslong as the spline counts are the same....
  7. Happy thanksgiving fellas
  8. Did you happen to measure with the jack stands on? Or with the tires on and the weight on the floor? Judging by the pic with the 8.8 with jack stands and no tires...it looks like you had a lot of lift...
  9. The ax15 swap is easy if you have the correct parts to swap it in... Make sure you have the correct pilot bearing/bushing to install the ax15. if not you'll be taking it in and out plenty of times before you realize it's not the correct one...
  10. I don't see anything else but the 3.07 gears...maybe looking up the #s will give some details?
  11. Looks like your about 2" off... And you don't want to install a TIGHT driveshaft because it will break your t-case... Best thing to do is install driveshaft yoke and bring it out 1" then measure center to center (u-joint cap) to the rear axle...
  12. Nice! Can't wait till its done!
  13. They will fit to the ford lines... You can actually set your hard lines set up like the Comanche and go from there.... Here's a thread I started with a few pics of an 8.8 with the jeep brake line set up... http://comancheclub.com/topic/48207-88-lsd-or-not-lsd/page-2?do=findComment&comment=491572
  14. By watching the vid I've recognized a few things like the steering wheel, the custom short shifter, the custom shift knob.... Isn't this truck this guys build??? http://comancheclub.com/topic/48633-track-rated-comanche/?do=findComment&comment=496293
  15. I'm eager to see how the motor mounts are positioned for the 4.0 compared the the 2.5....I'm sooo eager to drop in a 4.0...
  16. Just found out this part# doesn't exist anymore... Just ordered another part# hopefully it's long enough for my setup.... If it works I'll let you guys know...
  17. I've always wondered this...I've noticed the other day on the 3.07 and 4.10 axle I have...there's a label on the inside part of the axle...(pinion side) right side... I didn't read much of the specifics but I'll look into it when I get a chance
  18. This is the info I had when I was going on a hunt for a 8.8 4.10 lsd.... Image Not Found This is most important part...instead of jumping under the truck to check the tag on the diff cover...check the drivers door and look for the axle code
  19. You can use a 96-99 Dakota bell housing which has the 2.5l with the ax15 with the external slave... I've done this swap to my 2.5... Just not sure about the master....
  20. Ok not the best vid but you can see that my idle is jumpy...
