Yes. There are three episodes about the build and driving it. They compare it with a modern JK. An epilogue is when they sell it.
  3. The CPS keeps count of the engine position/rotation to tell the ECU where the crankshaft is when to open the injectors and fire the spark plugs. If the ECU doesn’t know where the engine is, it will not fire
  4. In the engine bay, to the right of the blower, is an outlet with a 90* tube. Remove the tube and clear any obstructions
  5. CPS overheating? That could cause the stalling.
  6. The website doesn't mention having the VIN for the parts. The website says "shooting video or photos while on LKQ property is strictly prohibited." I guess there are exceptions to the rules. That yard may be doing this for inventory control - to see which vehicles are getting parts pulled. If a certain vehicle is not getting parts pulled, they can get it off the lot and get another there that can turn "lead into gold."
  7. I don’t remember the years (99-01)?, but you want to avoid 0331 stamped on the head. They were corrected with TUPY stamped on the head.
  8. The knuckles and brake calipers will be different than the 86. When you purchase front brakes, be sure to order part for the year of the axle.
  9. Fuel pressure should be 31 with vacuum and 39 w/o vacuum. If your pressure drops when vacuum is removed, check the fuel pressure regulator or just replace it. Also, look at the pump. If the pump isn't putting out enough pressure, it could be too lean to run properly, especially at higher RPM. Like Ohm said, check the fuel trims. The will give you a lot of info.

  11. What?!?!? I can't hear you. I am driving my MJ.
  12. Looking at the pictures of your wall, I am reminded of an early M*A*S*H episode were Radar was mail home a Jeep. Just a few more pieces and you can reassemble an MJ.
  13. There is the 88 Electric Manual in the DIY section. The booster and prop valve should not have affected the brake lights.
  14. I ordered seat fabric from https://smsautofabrics.com/pages/headliners a few years ago. You can try call them. They're in OR.
  15. 87 auto w/ tilt - not present 84 CJ7 5spd w/ tilt - present
  16. I am reminded of something about "Dogs" and "Tricks"....
  17. It is a key release tab. When you shut off the engine, press the tab down, it allows you to fully shut off the engine and release the key from the ignition.
  18. Great to meet some old and some new CC members. I can finally put faces to the signature names. Let’s plan again for next year.
  19. I'll get there around 10 AM Sat. I live about 1.5 hours south in Frederick, MD. Don't forget your Comanche Club apparel.

  21. It depends.... Is yours a 4.0? Then no. If yours is a 2.5, then it should. The AX5 does not bolt to a 4.0 block. An AX15 bolts to a 4.0.
  22. I "tried" to fix mine by rewinding the spring. I wound it backwards. I watch a youtube video and saw what I did wrong. I have not tried to fix it yet.
