  1. I’ve had pretty good experiences with Sem paint, I’ve used the burgundy, black, and agate with great success. The only thing is you have to get your plastics very clean of oils and silicon products, I had a center console that wouldn’t take paint because the Po had covered it in some kind of protective coating.
  2. Alright so i’ve been preparing lately to drop an Ho motor in my 89, and so far the hardest thing has been finding a write up on the tps adaptor, the way I have done this modification requires no additional hardware, and uses unmodified Renix tps’s, while keeping the original amount of adjustment. Read Full Writeup Before Attempting To start you’ll need to take off the Tps connected to your renix throttle body. Next you will have to remove the arm attached to the throttle (see picture below) This can be difficult, I used screwdrivers to work it free, and then flattened the slight bends from removal in a vice. I then sized up the Renix arm I had just removed on the Ho Throttle body (where the Ho tps connects) I then filed down the shaft on the Ho Throttle body until the Renix arm fit ontop of it. (Note make sure the arm is clocked as shown, other positions will not work) Before After Then I tack welded it on to confirm it was in the correct location before burning it in completely After reaching this point you will need longer bolts and spacers to mount the Renix Tps to the Ho Throttle body. For bolts I found that the Ho map sensor bolts (located on throttle body) work perfectly. (see below) Finally For spacers I drilled holes in some 9mm Shell casings I had collected and they ended up being the perfect length without trimming (First remove primers by tapping them out, then drill) Finally bolt It all together and it should look something like this
  3. When I did mine I heated with a heat gun lightly, and tapped it with a rubber mallet, put bolts in the bolt holes as well to be sure not to deform them I put the metal part in my vice without tightening it, and had the sensor rest against the vice jaws, and then I tapped the metal part gently, it’ll be tough to get it to move to start as there’s little cast plastic pins holding it, but then it will break free

    Decals

I bet @boxyjeep could help you out or Someone you know with a cricut machine could try and scan some images together
  5. Here’s a couple pictures, ignore the half primer, I never got around to finishing it. It’s pretty thick for a stock skid plate, but again hooks on things, this is just destined for my chief as it came with them originally.
  6. The problem with the front skid is it snags rocks and trees while 4 wheeling after you go over something and try and back up, it acts sort of like a barbed fishing Lure never wanting to let go, personally I just rock a gas tank skid on my xj, and soon some custom tcase ones as the stock one is basically just something to look at rather than protect your Jeep. It barely covers anything
  7. Sorry for the long wait guys, My power went out yesterday and it completely slipped my mind after that until this morning. I got it to work on my end as a link, let me know if it works for you as well please. If not i will work on fixing https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/646d72da35524d4cdf2a701b
  8. I can also email it to whoever wants it, or if there is some way to embed the file just let me know and I can try that
  9. A couple Christmas’ ago we got my mom a circut machine and I got to wondering if I could do the same, and my family all spent a couple hours making them work on a Comanche tailgate, if you pm me your email address I should be able to send you the file. Here’s how they came out on my truck
  10. It’d be somewhat difficult, but not impossible to put an ax-15 behind a 4cyl, first you need to find a dodge Dakota bell housing since the 4cyl has a different bolt pattern to the 4.0 (in some Dakotas they put AX-15’s behind the 2.5l), then you’ll probably have a bit of difficulty finding a 2wd ax-15 to bolt to it, or you could do a 4wd swap, but you would need all the parts that associate with that, so yes you could but you’ll probably spend a lot of money or time trying to get all the parts you need. You could go with the ax-5 (5speed from a 4cyl) but those are pretty weak to begin with.
  11. In the desert environment I’d definitely suggest the electric cooling fan for backup Cooling while idling, and worst case scenario if it’s getting hot turning your heat on acts as an additional radiator, just don’t pass out from the heat
  12. I mean depending on where you are and the temperatures around you this sounds pretty normal, if your in the desert with 110 degree heat I’d say that’s cold, but if your in a 10 degree tundra then it’s extremely hot. I would check out your fan clutch and think about adding the extra fan if your concerned about the heat
  13. They make new fuel tanks for lwb and swb Here is the link for the swb one Click here
  14. Not much new since the last post, Just one last weekend up at proving grounds for the end of the year event. She tows so good now, just got new emergency brake cables installed and with the rear brakes adjusted correctly it stops so much better. I'm guessing towing up we were around 3500-4000 lbs towing and about 800 in the bed The MJ even got a little mud action this time around when we had to get through some puddles to get to my buddy’s camp for a fire Even just being 2wd She never felt close to being stuck But finally to the real action of the weekend with the mud mowers And yes In this first picture I’m fully standing and the mower is floating And then I blew up the engine on the 33” bogger mower by going through a little too deep of water (miraculously only blew head gaskets) But not before going through a little Mud with her And then there was my buddy’s with their equipment And I even got to ride my buddy’s 1000cc 4 wheeler and that thing was absolutely insane, apparently it makes 91 Hp, and you can just bake the tires through any level of mud or anything in 4wd or 2wd, and even with stock tires it felt unstoppable, I was only going slow enough for a couple pictures to be taken, and then I was gone I was soaked head to toe after this All in it was a great weekend with my buddies, it’s just camping with a whole other level of fun thrown in, I may bring my XJ to the next event instead of the MJ as it’s the snow Boggs, but we will see. Me surrounded by all my broken crap
  15. 22 pallets, 2 straps only holding the pallets together
  16. This Video should answer lots of your questions, but for newstyle glass you need the door trim and regulators to go with it.
  17. I’ve been looking into this a decent amount lately, I know they make a somewhat realistic Rc paint for Rc plastic body’s, and there is a company that claims to have roll on or spray on paint that becomes very reflective like chrome after a short time “Easy Chrome” (this is extremely expensive) And then there’s chrome wrap, for specific applications this is probably the best way. Chrome wrap
  18. 390 4speed bbg car. Literally the most desirable everything!? How does this get thrown away?!
  19. Bbg wasn’t out until 69, if the op has the vin it can be decoded and tell us what engine and trans combo
  20. Wow that’s a 69 big bad green 2 seater AMX, someone could’ve got good money for that even in terrible shape. They only made 284 big bad green amx’s in 69 again I don’t know how people just throw that way
  21. What a shame, probably my favorite color offered, and with low miles and being a 2wd that body is probably damn near perfect, such a shame what people throw away these days
  22. Wow, you really weren’t kidding, those are brighter than my chinabulbs in my stock housings! Very cool
