  1. More love to the XJ today. No more snow forecasted so the 33” BFG’s go on It was then time for some backyard 4 wheeling and flexing ^Not Rubbing anything
  2. Got one movable wing window installed today. Decided not to do the other one today, but still on the to do list My dad and I also dug out this gem today and did a little evaluation on it It looks so good, and something now that will be worked on here and there. The goal is to make it into a tailgate that could go on any Comanche and function with no modification
  3. Sadly it looks like the wood grain bezel you got is from a 95/96xj with airbags and a Chrysler column, the colum was physically bigger and they cut the bezel bigger so it shouldn’t have the bottom part at all :/
  4. Some updates recently Mounted on some old school 32”BFG KM1’s made in 1998 Those stayed on for a few days and will be my around town wheeling tires. No highway of corse on those, but they did soften up a decent bit as I drove on them. Also replaced both transmission line’s as one blew and I had already patched the other. Today I put the rest of the RC rear spring pack back in, ended up lifting the back of the truck at least an inch Before: After: Also pulled the front fenders off and swapped them for the black ones off my dads old 2dr. Apparently that’s the only picture I took of it all done, I’ll grab some more in the daylight tomorrow. Also my new 33” BFG AT’s will be going on very soon And Finally I named the Jeep Ted, after this broken peice of a posted sign I found in the woods behind my house. His name proudly displayed on the passenger quarter window To Do Still: -Front axle(makes awful noises when in 4wd) -rear grey flares to match the front -replace tie rod(I bent this one) -Fix AC
  5. Black interior looking stunning fantastic Job so far
  6. No problem, I’ve been wanting to look into this for a while From what I’ve experienced the early style design (rubber) if still in place can work was there rail to mount the newstyle seal on, you have to flip the seal around the other way, but it still works, I even took it on the highway and it made a big difference in wind noise. (This is with the original door seals and stock sound deadening.) ^ How I have the newstyle seals mounted on my original 89 ones
  7. Also just had an idea, if you have an old seal that doesn’t line up or you just want a better seal, you can just take the new one and slide it on over the old one putting it on backwards seems to give a good seal, but forwards probably gives a slightly better seal at cost to looks Backwards: The “Correct way”
  8. It mounts to a piece of sheet metal bent out of the a pillar skin
  9. Yes 2wd and 4wd,MJ/XJ are the same, ZJ tie rods are solid steel where the XJ’s are hollow I know the WJ’s have larger steering components, but you would need to swap to wj knuckles. Long story short all the 2wd axles are just dana30 ft’s without a pumpkin
  10. Bump, can we still make this happen for April or May?
  11. I never had a problem with mine in there, the heat worked as it should, and it never overheated or anything. I only removed mine because I didn’t use it enough and I think it’s a cleaner look without it
  12. Rip, forever remembered as it donated its life to so many others. May it rest in the great big Jeep farm up in the sky
  13. Not too sure what could cause it in your case, but if it happens again it could be something like this.
  14. Just found this one. Wishing you the best of luck on this
  15. Nice catch Carter How did I forget that, yeah basically any waggy specific parts, waggy seats and interiors go nice in mj’s
  16. I do too, My dad called it a time capsule when we worked on it yesterday
  17. In 2000 they also changed the rotors going back to the 1 peice design, but to use those rotors you need 2000 wheel bearings. I think everything else is the same
  18. Here’s the things I have on my list that I think you missed, nice list so far tho MJ/XJ: -Tail light sockets (MJ) -Radio -2.5L coolant res -Air intake hose -Cab corners(MJ) -Back window (MJ) -AC Control box (84-96 XJ/MJ) -Foot Parking Brake (MJ) -Drip Rails(MJ) -Wing windows -Steering wheel -Windshield Trim -Gauge pack -2.5l axles(4.10s for 5 speed man or 3 speed auto, 4.56 for 4 speed auto, 3.54 for 4 speed manual- these numbers don’t apply to 84-86 models) ZJ: -Tie rod Cadillac (CTS,DTS,STS: V6 model): -MJ Tail light connector
  19. that’s the entire Facebook post
  20. My Dad and I finally got some progress today, just pulled it in the garage and got some little things finished, wires zip tied up, and put on matching Q-78 tires on it all around. 9 year build… more like 9 year oil change… Hoping to get it finally out of its hibernation and out on some trails this summer. This little guy showed up at the end of the day and we hurried the truck out of the garage soon after… He was upset we moved his childhood home, Traps are now set up in the garage and soon the Jeep, even sniper Jake with the pellet gun was on the lookout after seeing that guy.
  21. I’m in, nice and close event to start the year
  22. I’d say look at clear coat fail on wheels for inspiration, I know lots of people clear off all the clear coat and either paint or powder coat then
  23. This won’t help you but I cut mine into an extra under dash vent I had and it wasn’t a bad spot
