    Quicky

Not just this, the tire will be a gigantic pain to bead, all being anything can be done with ether and a dream, but also if your planning to 4 wheel it at all airing down is just gonna allow the tires to de-bead very easily. 7” and 8” wheels are perfect for 31x10.5 8’s give them a more squared off look, where 7’s crown a bit
  2. Picked up a Chrome rear bumper a couple days ago, it was a little bent up, but with some little tweaking it’s looking a lot better, still more to be fixed in its future Started one side at a time getting the big bends out Then the other side, the little dents will be addressed later. definitely a 30 footer rn, but it’s the look the truck needed, I'm super happy with how it came out. It needs a good polish and it’ll never be perfect especially with all the dents and rust putting, but if it was perfect it wouldn’t go on my truck.
  3. I’d lay underneath and check where the linkage attaches to the t-case, make sure it’s actually connected because they can pop off. you can also try shifting the t-case manually underneath the jeep
  4. Oh yeah, I don’t think this truck is with us anymore, she was picked pretty clean by the end of life, of to that great big Jeep farm in the sky
  5. The guys I know who use it use it in an old fashioned oiler like this (just the first one that popped up) https://www.autozone.com/shop-and-garage-tools/oiler/p/performance-tool-1-4-pint-pump-oiler/142105_0_0?
  6. Here was the pictures of it when I first came by it, when I had seen it the second time someone had picked it up and moved it with a fork by the roof and bent it into that sad shape it was in
  7. I remember that one, didn’t get to looking for it, I was running out of time, but before I took the flares, all the ac parts, radiator, baby console, airbox, Intake tube, windshield trim, and interior door handles here was it last time when I got all that stuff
  8. At 1-3 inches of lift it’s marginal how uneven the tracbar makes the wheels, at 1-3 inches of drop itd be the same just in the other direction I’d imagine
  9. There has been so many times for me in my Comanche where people have almost run stop signs and t-boned me, or blown red lights, and when I go to swerve around them they swerve in front of where I’m going and brake, or the person in front of you stopping in the fast lane because they are about to miss their exit. The first day after I got my license I drove it, and pulling out of a farms blind driveway, looking through a mirror positioned to see traffic, I got halfway out and saw a pickup come flying up the road at 70+ on a backroad and narrowly not totaling my truck, so yeah I’d say drive extremely carefully and defensively, because if something happens the insurance won’t give you anything near what it’s worth to you.
  10. You are correct, I was checking out that old iron yesterday, I couldn’t find a lot of xj’s sadly, but i did get to swing around to Holland’s and pick up an ac deck and console for my Comanche
  11. Also be sure to check the fluid level, it probably isn’t the problem but low fluid can do odd things
  12. From Yesterday’s Expedition: This 96 xj country was no rot, about 100k miles and 2wd but it looks like someone crashed it, the roof was completely cut off. Almost rust free f250 (probably mint before stacked on) My buddy climbed up into this truck, the interior was pretty nice
  13. Ok so your confusion is in the clusters, there’s 2 basic styles with different variations one has a bunch of “Idiot lights” that just tell you when something is wrong, it sounds like that’s the one you have The other has actual gauges for everything, Here’s an example of each one. and to answer your question if it’s just the wrong sensor you should be ok to drive it, I’d just keep an eye out for steam or other signs of overheating
  14. Honestly Pete I wish… ^there was no snow last night, woke up to this ^My XJ first snow of the season (less than an inch) I must’ve just gotten very lucky with mine, those seats in the picture before came out of a rotted out waggy
  15. someone’s given up on project
  16. Join us, you know you want to… 21 slot boys!
  17. If your talking about metric ton springs than yes, just be prepared for your truck to sit a lot higher in the back. And you need to break them in or they will sit ridiculously high. I have a set in my swb and it sits like this with 3” lift in ft
  18. Lwb and swb have the same springs
  19. Warning this is a literal life story: You have been warned… My story is Quite different than everyone else’s. I grew up around XJ’s, ZJ’s, and MJ’s. Here's me 10 months old standing in the back of my dads MJ With his 2DR XJ wheeler/DD, and the ZJ, my moms DD. Also here’s me in My dads 71 Javlin AMX But Finally the part we are all here for. In January 2010 when I was 5ish, my dad picked up this black 89 2wd SWB 4.0 automatic truck 31k original miles. Needless to say I immediately fell in love with that truck, it was the first vehicle I changed a tire on and sparked my love for working on Jeeps Fast forward about 10 years. I’m 15 and I had been calling the black Comanche “My truck” and been eyeballing it for the last couple years, so I pulled it out of its parking spot and got it back to daily driver status for when I had my license. And now we are at modern day Here she is now. She’s definitely come a long way, and I can’t believe this started over 10 years ago lol. Pretty much before I could remember OG Thread: My Thread:
  20. That’s a 92 only sticker package. Very nice find
  21. Thank you for this, I have some parts on my 2000 I need to respray. I just never got around to looking for the paint
  22. Here’s a picture of those plugs for reference this on an HO Also note the drain plug next to the freeze plug
  23. those are power seat tracks, but they bolt up the same. 4 bolts hold the tracks to the seat, and 4 more bolts hold the seat bottom on
  24. It’s not hard at all, especially with buckets. It’s 4 bolts, and then it comes right out, then take it inside, flip it over, unbolt the brackets and you should be able to see how it is connected. It’s a really easy thing
  25. I know the whole bottom bun comes right off of you pull the seat out and you could sew it together with clear or a light color thread.
