    Just Hitched!

    Welcome to the club! Congrats!
  2. Ben - You need an AC delete pulley! I'm keeping an eye out for you...
  3. First off, it's a MN truck. Second, it's a winter driver of a MN truck. Third, I hate keeping around stuff that doesn't work. So, since the A.C. will probably never be used, the system leaks, and there wasn't any pressure anyhow I just got rid of everything. Makes getting to the oil filter that much easier too. :wrench: I'm in the process of deleting the AC on our 1990 Winter XJ. '88 MJ came without it and I've fully deleted it on the '90 MJ. No need for it up here, just more junk under the hood! I've been to Florida a few times though. I can understand why you think us northern guys are nuts for doing this.
  4. Is there a clasp or something? I can't seem to get it to move at all. I don't want to apply too much pressure because I'm afraid of breaking it. Yah, there is a clasp for it, but most of them fall off because the glue gets old and they come up-glued. Mine was pretty stiff too when I got it, but it was movable... You'll see the channels on the passenger side, see if you can lube them up with some plastic friendly lube and go from there. Thats about all I can tell you to do.
  5. Yep, Ours is an '02 Sentra SE-R. Good little car for what we need it for. The 2.5L has got plenty of pick-up when you need it and I love having the SE-R suspension. The 1.8L models are the gas savers, but don't be looking to go to the races with them - my brother has an '05. There are lots of cars out there for sale, but not all of them are gems. We went out looking for a Sentra and we were lucky to find this one. It was well taken care of and previously loved. Finding a car that had a good previous owner is a big deal if you ask me. This guy had all of the stone nicks filled with touch up paint and even included the 2002 Sentra sales brochure with the car. Only thing is that I wish it were a manual vs. the automatic.
  6. Both VERY nice trucks!
  7. It'll do the job until the sun beats down on the tarp enough to break it down. Then you'll have tarp shreds all over your driveway.
  8. Dave, That Comanche is too clean to cut up...
  9. I only had the chance to meet Joe once as well. His passing saddened me as he truly was a great guy. I had no idea he was having troubles again this last time around. He is missed. Glad to see the tribute MJOTM.
  10. Guessing that you don't drive that around in the winter...
  11. You'll like the Clayton setup. I love mine.

    New Guy

Welcome, Where in Michigan are you from?
  13. Don't need the linkage? How is $30 shipped for just the motor & gearcase?
  14. Turns out that I don't have one. I thought there was one on my parts XJ, the one that I was thinking of is on my good XJ. I'll keep an eye out in the yards...
  15. Let me look, I think I've got one. The clips to the lights might be cut, is that OK?
  16. Glad to see you got one! They gave me a whole stack of them and I pass 'em out when I can. RockAuto is a Madison, WI based company - named after the Rock River in Wisconsin. My old neighbor works there, we're still good friends. He found out I ordered parts from them and thought it would be a good idea to get my truck in with their magnets. - Brent
  17. Congrats Rich - Well deserved & long overdue!
  18. Pretty sure that the rear fenders on these are the same as the ones on the Willy's Pickups...
  19. This is one of those moments that I really wish I had the "jimoshel and Wildman space" to store another MJ. To a renix guy, this one is a darn good find, cream of the crop. 1990 - 4.0L - 2wd - AX-15 (shown in the pics) - 150K ASKING $800 - This one is a deal to be had, hopefully it finds a good home! http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/2567469921.html Jeep Comanche - $800 (Appleton) Date: 2011-08-26, 2:17PM CDT Reply to: sale-bhryg-2567469921@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] 1990 , 4.0 litre ,jeep comanche, 2 wheel drive. 150K miles but still runs great! 20. Congrats! I've never dabbled much in 3D modeling, most of the stuff I do is 2D plan and profile stuff. What I have done with 3D, it was fun and I could really see getting into it. Even though all of that engineering stuff didn't come to the surface in the interview, its still in there somewhere and they know it!
  21. If the right person tried their hand at it, I bet that rear bumper could get straightened out. Yes its a big dent, but thicker steel can be very nice to work with.
  22. Did you go to bare steel in all of those spots that you put fiberglass? If you didn't, it will bubble up.
  23. Sent you a PM a few days ago.
  24. Don't bother with used ones, new ones are CHEAP.
