  1. Ew. Not fun. Well. Time to fight fire ants with fire
  2. Ok hang on. I don't know if it was stated before but the build sheets from pre ‘89 are not incredibly accurate. You should have a 4speed AW4 automatic trans.
  3. Little Red had those same exact rims when I got her. That’s factory.
  4. Always snag skid plates. Hell always snag MJ specific stuff.
  5. I tried sea foam. Not to say it didn’t work but with the previous history my engine had of having a blown head gasket and coolant all in the cylinders led me to where none of the snake oil could’ve cured the issue. Give it a shot. Might be just some crud in the valve guides.
  6. I had an issue similar that made me think it was a misfire but it was the valves sticking on the third cylinder. Since you said everything else checks out fine except at idle leads me to think that because for me everything was fine while driving except at idle it would miss. I had my head rebuilt and the problem went away.
  7. Actually...it’s really was a matter of swapping out the regulator(the yellow box) and testing it. There is a factory testing procedure for testing the regulator, on one side is two pots both get positioned at the ten o clock position and the third one gets turned all the way to the left. I used a test light to test the stalk and brake light functions.
  8. Well I finally figured it out. After some rigorous testing of the entire circuit and swapping parts around, it boiled down to one regulator blowing a couple resistors and the other being inop. JMO sent me his old regulator that allowed me to come to this conclusion. Nice to have cruise and something functioning again.
  9. I’m almost certain that there are two flasher relays. One is for the turn signals and the other is for the hazard circuit. So your hazard one is good. Perhaps the then signal is on its way out? Otherwise tearing off the steering wheel and replacing the whole turn signal switch is a pita unless you have time to sit down and do it.
  10. Holy crap this is what I get for not looking at the parts book.
  11. Really? I thought they used the pioneer decal and the Olympic insignia below Comanche.
  12. How’s the harmonic balancer? Engine mounts?
  13. I found one Comanche with the gold pioneer stripes. But it had a god awful photo bucket watermark. But just google or bing 88 Comanche pioneer and something should show up. Also supposedly these guys have repop decals. You want the beige/tan combo https://www.graphic-express.com/jeep/jeep-comanche-mj/1987-92-jeep-comanche-mj-pioneer-truck-side-stripe-kit-two-color.html
  14. I found the SEM medium grey to be a perfect match for the lighter side of the charcoal interior. As for the dark, I’m trying to figure that one out myself. I’m currently awaiting the two colors I have chosen for accuracy.
  15. I'm curious. Would anyone be interested in it? I would post it in the forsale section but I'm not sure if anyone is looking for one and haven't quite figured out how to sell on ebay. The compressor is for a '92 four cylinder accord. I'd imagine it would fit other model years and it has never been installed. Before my MJ I had my grandfathers(moms father, MJ is from dads father) accord. That was a one owner and owned since new till I destroyed a Ford Tauris with it. If anyone is looking for one or wants it, let me know.
  16. I've been waiting for ya to post your VIN here. This is your VIN. I took the luckiest guess and changed you F to a 5. 1J7FJ26S2NL182315. It also never left its original sale zone.
  17. All I see is some wheels, a Jeep front end, some glass and mirrors. Lol. Nice score though! Sad to hear your first was taken from you. Be sure to register it!
  18. Sounds like they aren't using Hunter tire equipment.
  19. Well I may not be able to recommend aftermarket gauges to you but I can tell you that the temp sender in your case is on the very back of the head of the engine with a little wire plugged in on top of it. Swapping clusters is very easy though. You just need to find either a 5/6th cluster or a full and swap it in and get an oil pressure sensor and temp sensor.
  20. No worries! Not in a huge rush, I Just don't want to deal with that dealer again. When and if you find it let me know. Thanks fiat!
  21. Lol, that's ok there are way worse examples out there. I'm sure I've dreamt about the day numerous times of cruising home with AC. I did an upgrade that I've been adamant about doing. Crusiers blower motor ground. Never had a reason to cut into the pristine harness until now.
  22. Yes. The part number is on the back. The one I have is the right/passenger side. Driver side part number will be 55003129 or on the part itself will be AMC's number with an "89" followed by the number
  23. Hey everyone, I’m looking for the left hand side chrome bezel that looks like this: I snagged this NOS forever ago and there’s a dealer in New York that has the other side but they are being not the best at customer service for the lack of better words. If anyone has one, let me know!
  24. Damn Walmart doing the professionals job.
  25. I'm pretty certain the round ones are aftermarket. I've seen some Dakotas share the same license plate light cover as the Comanche.
