I know now it’s not the level of expertise that is in Jeepdrivers build(will admit, his work has been inspirational), but for honest work and help from my neighbor who is experienced in body work and paint, I’ll be happy with the work I will have put in and appreciate the knowledge I have and will learn in the process. With out a further ado here is the progress.

I think any Jeep vehicle except for the CJ's are tough to find parts for. Member on here is struggling to find XJ Wagoneer specific parts. I can imagine the SJ community is having just as hard of a time as us, let alone the J-trucks. -

Oh lord. I forgot about tree striping. But its been a long while since I last took LR to the desert for something. As for people who overland, I can only imagine doing that in an old school van and some camping equipment. But no one has the time to just go out from work for a month and just live peacefully until it is time to return. Although that does sound like hell of a dream. Like a Ron Swanson type dream. It could also not have one. Like you said, it came from Nevada and it gets pretty damn hot there during their summers so it sounds about right to be a freeway runner and no T-stat. -

Neat trick. Course I'm kind of impressed that it is cooling that well with no T-stat -

I vaguely remember it saying something about the same with heat mode. Maybe it just was only for defrost. But I do experience the same thing where the heat is only warm and blows out on vent mode and on heat mode it blows out really warm from the floor vents. -

I hear ya. Seeing all the durangos, chargers and challengers in the grey color bore me everytime I look at one that is out in the shop. -

Theres a whole thing on that in the user manual. To paraphrase what I remember, it said that the compressor kicks on to eliminate the moisture out of the air, hence "air conditioning". Despite only warm air coming out, the blower also has to shove air through the evap and into the heater core to produce the heat you have requested. Which also helps with defrosting. It is on but it is not on. It is strange. -

No 9 is as follows: They supersede to these numbers: 52003947(without AC) and 52003946(With AC) No. 24 -
Oh yeah. It sure as hell is gonna happen. Oh @88mjsally after getting those vents they went right to painting and I used my can of landau black interior paint(10 coats later) to achieve this: Old vents that came off and new that I bought and restored. Almost looks like NOS. Even put the foam on the back.

I think the old Chrysler saying goes "There's power in Mopar" -
Who knows. Like I said we have found that Chrysler has been recycling codes ever since they acquired Jeep. We compared another members build sheet and found some codes to be the same but different descriptions for the code.

I made this disclaimer before. But its due to Chrysler reusing codes and such. Prior to 1989 like yours is a hit or miss on data. 1988 and down when AMC was still around weren't filed away properly so some data is still lost. Build date: 10/16/88 Body code JL62

Yes, that is for the High altitude CPS. Let me pull up starparts and compare if you don't mind?

Whoa. How did you get your build sheet?

Door handle gaskets

That’s a good idea. I’ll try it when I get my passenger door handle off.
