Why let me quote the catalogue HD- "This heavy duty pump is made of cast iron for added strength and better rough cycle wear characteristics." HV- "This high volume pump is similar to P4529227(above) except that it has larger rotors for a 25 percent increase in capacity."
-
Yup! And all are for the 4.0L(Sorry 2.5L Guys, nothing for us)

Now theres not a lot left but there seems to be some Jeep 4.0L Performance parts floating around. Like a timing gear set and some camshafts and some oil pumps. Ill keep looking but would anyone be interested in a list of what is available?
-
Looks like I got a good lead. Thanks!
-
Indeed it is! That definitely looks like something I would want to have reproduced just in case a windshield cracks.
-
Neat!!
-
So as you all may know I usually am on the hunt for NOS like Redmistress. Wellllll I bought something that may want to be reproduced if it currently is not. I recently bought a 1990 Mopar Performance catalogue to see what the 4.0L Performance computer does. Well I dug into it and found a few other things, some not to note worthy. But I found a part number for the "Comanche" decal that goes onto the windshield. Well needless to say I found a dealer who had two and bought both.(No, don't ask for the other one. That's going to pirate.) How many people would be interested in seeing it be reproduced? If I get a good number, I'll see into its reproduction and get a small batch made.

4th Generation MJ project

One of the few things that prevents me from living there. I don't know how you Washingtonians survive that mess. Makes rush hour here look like a breeze. I imagine that sitting there would cause overheat issues like what you had. -
2.5 engine/transmission swap.
eaglescout526 replied to COM86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Try sourcing parts for a 4.2L for the V-belt stuff if you need such. I noticed that some stuff are shared between the two engines in the parts catalogue. Just trying to help ya save some pennies. Going serp is an option. -
2.5 engine/transmission swap.
eaglescout526 replied to COM86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Should be just a direct swap. Course the present issues you have are also easy fixes without swapping a whole engine and you can add AC to your current engine as well. -
I think the carpet is dirty and the lower dash is bad pic

Everything but the steering wheel and the center console is blue.

Back glass and rear flares are worth saving. And that hitch looks factory. Wonder what is going on with that bench seat and the three headrests. Also the last digit is a two. I was able to make it out and the current VIN posted comes up as and XJ

eaglescout526 replied to KANTANKRUS's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Nah.You don't want them. Theres 9 at vintage and a few a dealers for a grand total of..... $700 -
List is $710. Guess it boils down to how badly you need the manifold. There are HO available as well
-
Price. Not everyone needed 4wd. Most used them as city cruisers(XJ) or duty trucks(MJ). Granted I kinda wish I had 4wd but having 2wd is unique and with the 2.5L I can still go places just not as many as a 4wd can go.

There are 17 Renix manifolds still left. There’s also some HO ones too. -
Is this what everyone is asking about and looking for? If so there are 17 Renix manifolds left in the U.S.
-
Ouch. Wonder how bad that damage is.
-
You can put in any speaker. Now you may have to modify the harness as factory ones are not made anymore. Should be a 5x5 round speaker. And said speaker fits in all MJ XJ doors

I had defrost for a long while until I discovered a broken vac line going to the reservoir in the bumper. Have you checked that line? Usually that is a culprit to having defrost only.
