Its not 100% accurate and we don't swear by them to be such. It is more or less a general idea of what your truck came with. Like we tell all new members who post in the registry, Chrysler changed the meaning of some sales codes over the years. So if the truck came with something that was replaced by a newer sales code, the current build sheet will reflect that unless you have the original one on hand. We have found 90% of these sales codes to be accurate.

If its factory it would be the 2.1L Turbo. I would love to have the diesel just for gas mileage and uniqueness but parts for the engine are hard to come by. Worse than MJ body parts.

Ironically no. But any AMC vehicles in AZ get scooped up because of being rust free. Which is why its a pain to find parts Jeeps or any cheap Jeep because of them being rust free. Glendale AZ is where I'm located.

It can be a simple fix. I just went through rigorous testing only to find out the control unit(yellow box) went bad and did so in a spectacular fashion.

Yup. You have a cruise control harness. There should be three more empty plugs or two. One is brakes, one is the pulse sensor and the other is for the stalk control

I agree with Minuit. I would like to know what the headlight harness connector is. It also is used on early AMC AC control head connectors and 91+ AC control head as well. Knowing what the connector is would make it easier for those to add aux lights off the factory harness.

They are chrome. I thought about painting them black but decided against it. Now I do have a pair of towing eyes that I have never seen before that are black. I don't blame you. I can’t wait either. I had to spend a day thinking about how to cut the hole in the dam.

Skid plate finished and running boards are back on. Time for a sammich and some Pepsi-Cola Shes coming together. Bug shield, AMC radio and tow hooks.

A clean engine bay is a happy engine bay.

Looks like a happy 3.7L. Glad to see a mess cleaned up.

Front skid plate halfway installed. Currently letting engine shock mount bolts cure in vinegar for rust removal(that's where the skid plate mounts on the pass side). Next will be the tow hooks and putting the running boards back on. Then hopefully the front bug shield.

One thing down. Few more to go! One NOS vanity visor installed. Thank you @coheed for the MJ vanity wiring harness!

I have an OEM side marker and I can get my hands on an OEM turn signal lamp. I can’t remember if the big lamp bezel is around as OEM. You’ll have to go after market for the grill and bumper.

Well that's true. I was thinking more like rusted in half kind of rusted. Unless you want to fix that level of rust.
