I fixed this issues actually. I just put a bolt through the other side to flatten that alignment hole and I haven’t had any issues. Also it helps if the tailgate is pushed toward the drivers side and everything is lubed as they should be. Then you’ll get quiet closing and latching results.

If you’re gonna pull everything out related to the emission system, I would experiment with unplugging the solenoid and just leaving the vac line attached just in case the engine doesn’t perform as well as it should. Granted it should still run just fine with or without but I would do it like that just so that way it’s an easy quick reversible mod if it doesn’t work out. Now as far as the bolts in the aluminum, they should still come out but I can’t imagine them being seized or “welded” together.

They also can be cleaned if you’re a dime short on change. I had some sticky issues with my drivers side and simply unscrewed them and gave them a good wire brush scrub. And popped a fuse along the way lol.

Is you’re E-brake on? That’s the only other thing that would keep the light on.

Ooo ok. CB is the paint code and it’s Buff Yellow. That’s an uncommon one. That makes more sense since we are seein the bigger picture.

So on the bottom row of the VIN plate should be the paint code. I can’t tell if it’s the 33(which isn’t right) or the 6VT or YT. Would you mind seeing what is all on that plate? There should also be some letters before the 33. But I think that paint might be sterling metallic.

Thats fantastic to know actually. I am curious about the pound and a half of R134. I got some mixed performance from just 2 lbs but yet added an extra ounce and got way better cooling. Wonder if theres less capacity in the V6 set up.

No the antenna wire is the same regardless of power antenna or not. Should be easily found in any XJ.

Yeah the printed circuits are known for that. I think the tachs have been weird probably due to cheap resistors on them. That’s my guess as I installed a NOS tach and it works just like the later years. I'm more or less also doing this for guys who want full blue face but can seem to only find the 6cyls around but can’t find the 4cyl tach. But I’d like to roll with eagles idea and add a pot to them for adjustability.
