I bought a set of replacement fenders from C2C. They have an econo and an oem line. The oem line run about $150/ea but they are a good fender. Fitment is really nice as is the thickness of the material used. I bet that they are made in the same factory as Key Parts (Taiwan). -

Your drag link angles are quite steep it seems from the pics. The Comanche control arm brackets are not identical to XJ brackets. There is extra reinforcement to them that is not there on the XJ. Rock road suspension makes a set that works. I think there are one or two others as well. The cheapest alternative I could think of here is to lower you lift back down to whatever your control arms are designed for. I believe those tubular fixed lowers are for possibly a 4” lift max. Mid lifting an MJ that handles like stock is quite a task -

Yes I got mine. It’s a very different fit from the original but looks very good in the end. The CR Laurence screws in from the inside of the cab in a few areas. You have to really have a good clean window opening for it to sit flush in. The frame is aluminum and can bend a bit to fit nice and flush. The instruction only call for using butyl tape to seal it. That’s what I did at first but I had small leaks. I took it all back out and reinstalled it with urethane and didn’t have any leaks after even with the pressure washer. The CR Laurence unit looks a little bigger and has a larger opening than the 3 pane oem unit. It also eliminates the rubber trim around the oem unit. Still sorting out axle availability. My local junk yard doesn’t give me the time of day so I had to widen my search. Managed to find two yards in MO and going to make the run tomorrow. 3.55 8.25 liberty rear with disks and a XJ non disconnect HP30 with 3.55’s. Picking them up tomorrow -

Engine has arrived. Along with some more goodies. GM LS swap oil pan kit for front axle clearance. also got a new manual tilt column, all black steering wheel, and a new boostwerks hidden winch/steering brace setup thanks to @Red Mistress! Dropped off an original MJ hitch, swb gas tank skid, transfer case skid, step bumper, bumper brackets and oem front skid to get blasted. Disassembly coming up soon. Getting some shop area prepped for the initial tear apart. First order from Novak arrived with headers, motor mounts, and all sorts of small swap parts. Painless stand alone LS harness also came in. Have a pair of Corbeau trailcats being made also with lumbar adjusters and heaters with the HD material option. Most big parts will be coming around mid May. The yard that I was getting my 8.25 from dropped the ball and ended up never pulling the axle. After being transferred several times and having to re-explain the situation I just gave up on them. Rear is now going to stay a Dana 35. I’ve built many a Dana 35 that can endure some serious abuse all while being very light weight. This one will get 3.73 gears, 1541 shafts (possibly 30 spline with arb). There are several trick to keeping the Dana 35 alive and happy. Axle tube flex is one, along with a good cryo treatment on the R&P. This axle will be running 31” BFG’s but 35’s are quite attainable and writhing the axles range. Axle clearance and unsprung weight are very good compared with to marginally larger tires on heavier axles -

Yep that’s right. If you fuse block is mounted there you will also need to remove it first. It’s time consuming for sure. -

Picked up a set of yukon chromo shafts for the D30 along with a set of 3.73 gears to match the rear. Was trying to find an XJ HP30 with 3.73 gears but there aren't any for sale near me and I will not run a low pinion front axle. Debating between ARB's or perhaps a Grip Pro front and rear. -
Quick Draw Brand Bellhousing Adapters LS, R2.8 and more

The nicest thing I like about this adapter is that it uses a Jeep external slave, fork and throw out bearing. From the pressure plate forward it’s Chevy parts. Aside from the bellhousing, there are no custom parts or funky adaptations needed. Looking forward to giving these a try. -

Had to pickup another steering column and wheel. It looks like someone tried to install an auto column and couldn’t quite get the shift interlock figured out. They had destroyed some of the housing and the column had a ton of slop in it. Got a replacement tilt manual column with the key release lever. Also managed to find a mint condition original black steering wheel and a few other odds and ends. More parts showing up for the project. Looks like a mail ordered a Comanche in pieces lol -
These topics come up a lot… Ultimately it’s almost impossible to assign a value to these trucks. Keep in mind that there are so few on the road anymore that each one will carry a unique value. Some are scrap, others are gold and there are a lot in between. As someone who recently sold and also purchased an eliminator I can offer a relatively worthless opinion that it is likely worth close to asking. I doubt you will be able to get it for much less as there will likely be too much purchasing competition.
