  1. I ante'd up my $10
  2. How long is it center of U joints cap to cap?
  3. I use PB'Laster in all my locks and catch mechanisms every 6 months. No freeze up even on Mt Baker. (except 1 missing it's "door") I use a stick of potassium (?) grease on the rubber so it doesn't stick or make a mess of clothes if touched. But then I grew up in the Great White North, eh? (Spent my winters between Surrey, BC and Valdez, AK)
  4. For a second I thought you were talking about me! My first wife fell off the horse and turned into a mule about 20 years ago!
  5. Part number should be in the pics I sent you codymanche. It was XJ but the A pillar forward is exactly the same XJ and MJ
  6. US YJs may have only come with D35, but in Canada D44 was an option in '87/88 only. Another fun tidbit: I parted a '66 Travelall (2wd) and it's rear D44 appears to be about the same width as MJ with the same bolt pattern (4x4 were 5 on 5.5)
  7. TJ axles fit (some are low pinion) as do ZJ
  8. 6 or 4 cyl? Tachs aren't the same
  9. That just controls the computer. You can even wire up newer AW4s to run like that (program is already in them. Just the wires weren't included)

    95 Maxima ?

Sounds like the heater may have an air bubble. That or the vacuum control has a loose/cracked line so it's not holding the valve open to let hot water through the rad. Or the dash control vacuum isn't opening the damper. (on my MJ the valve above the brake pedal kept getting the hose knocked off, then it wouldn't go off defrost!)
  11. If you get a 4 cyl one ('87 up), you can swap the 6 cyl bell, but it's not quite as strong. Get a matching pair trans/tcase from '87 to '96 and they will work. Mismatching means you need 21 spline to '90 and 23 spline '91 up on the 6 cyls.
  12. 2.5 AMC, 2.8 GM V6 and Renault 2.1L turbo diesel
  13. watched the snow fall on it as I leave for work
  14. Biggest problem with the NP207 is it's weak compared to every other tcase out there.
  15. For the swap you need speedo cable, trans, tcase (from 2.5 or 2.8 V6 XJ or MJ), front and rear driveshafts (XJ front is the same but not rear), Tcase shifter. Crossbar for 4x4. Think that's all? If you were close to Seattle, I think I still have an AX-5 and NP207 kicking around for cheap.
  16. Several times I thought about a short bed on long frame so I could put a cab extension on.
  17. I got lucky when I hit one 2 years ago just outside Monroe WA on 522. It bounced off and hit another car head on.
  18. Add tread texture when you apply it. NAPA just started selling a new one with Kevlar in it.
  19. YJ, FSJ, AMC Eagle, CJ, DJ. All the same motor except emissions. You can use other years as well except '71. You can cut the crank or put a spacer on it with the 4.0L balancer. They are all internally balanced.
  20. If you have a winch or any extra weight on the front, you will need stronger springs
  21. Wish I'd taken a pic of the one I made for my '86. '87 is columns shift so I'll have more space.
  22. It's more to do with stolen car parts than anything else
  23. Sounds like the wheel bearing went. If you are lucky it can just get a new one and be rolling again.
  24. Vacuum leak, clogged injector, water in the gas, slightly bent pushrod, bad dist cap (or incorrectly installed)
