  1. 38.5 x11 front and and 33x12.50 rear.
  2. I have Sprint and had no service at my house,no carriers service works where I live. The wife called sprint, they punched in my address and confirmed that there is no service there so they sent out a Sprint Airave unit for free. It hooks to my Dsl Modem and transmits over the internet, now my sprint phones work pretty good.
  3. Pretty much you regear it and if the speedo is still off then you swap the speedo gear. For now your truck should drive ok with 32s and stock gears, just GPS your speed so you know how far the speedos off then just adj for it. My truck at 60 is doing a little over 70 so I just keep that in mind when I'm driving. Up till recently my 2.5l MJ was getting daily driven on the freeway with a 6.5" lift 33x12.5 tires and 3.55 gears
  4. There is a thread on this in the NW section from last years meet,no one has posted in it about this years meet but I'm gonna try to make it,and a few other guys have said they are going. For Local NW stuff I usually check the NAXJA NW chapter. Pretty much all the NW CC members are also over there and there is a lot more activity then the NW section here.
  5. The numbers on the speedometer have nothing to do with how fast a vehicle can go. most vehicles from the 1980s speedos only go to around 85 it doesn't mean that's as fast as they can go and having one that reads higher doesn't mean its faster. Top speed between a Renix 4.0l truck and a 4.0l HO truck is about the same. And FWIW a 2.5l MJ will go over 85mph.
  6. I seem to plan to go every year but have never made it.
  7. The axle disconnect shouldn't have anything to do with it. There is something wrong and gears won't fix it,with the same set up as you and stock gears with a non disconnect axle my XJ was getting around 18mpg and had plenty of power.
  8. You should be getting a lot better then 11mpg even with stock gears.
  9. Where about in Washington are you?
  10. I have the sylvania silverstars in mine. They are a huge upgrade over stock.
  11. I would sell them to a YJ owner

They have a 1.3l SOHC 8 valve stock The one we are building has 5.12s and a 6:1 in the T-case its not fast but it turns the 38.5s pretty well. The guy has a 1.6l 8 valve tracker engine to put in it,but I have to make all the manifolds to turbo it first.

We are currently building an 87 tin top at the shop. Its SOA on YJ leafs and 38.5" tires
  15. If you don't need it to lock you can also get one from a YJ,you could get them without the lock they have a dummy piece were the tumblers go and the cover has no hole for the key.
  16. Not if you get the "thick" gears. Are they even available for the D30? I went thick on my D44 but I had to buy a new carrier for my D30
  17. I have no vibration with 6.5" of lift on a short bed. You sure you didn't have a bad u-joint or a bent/out of balance drive shaft?
  18. Looks like the average homebuilt bumper.
  19. That's for XJs. our drive lines are much longer so the geometry isn't as bad. An SYE would be nice to have eventually but its not needed.
  20. Seems that most of the guys who v their shocks mount them to the top of the tube and just use stock shocks. And why are you worried about a SYE? You don't need one.
  21. Just keep in mind that is with the shocks in the factory location hanging below the axle. If you move the mounts like most people do you will need shorter shocks.
  22. It all depends on how you mount the shocks so shock length varies from one rig to another. As stated the best way is to install the lift without shocks and then flex it out, then you can figure out exactly what shocks you need. Some 4x4 shops have an RTI ramp that you can use,at the shop we do it with a forklift.
  23. Problem with XJ springs is that they are too short so they won't even bolt into an MJ.
  24. Looks good, its coming along a lot better then mine is.
  25. I figure any big name gun is going to perform well so get the one the fits you the best, doesn't matter how good a gun is if it doesn't feel right. Also when looking its good to consider ammo cost if your gonna shoot a lot. My .380 cost about double what my 9mm cost for ammo
