  1. My lift isn't any ones kit. its a mixture of stuff, some of it I built myself. And as Blue XJ said, death wobble isn't caused by the amount of lift, its worn components and/or geometry issues.
  2. Stock hoses will work but you may have to lower the hardlines or you could use yj hoses they are a bit longer.
  3. This thing came into the import shop I was working at years ago.
  4. time to trade the Dakota for a bus, congrats
  5. thats soa rear and stock front,i ended up going about 6.5" up front to sit level SOA gives about 5" but you have to remember the rear is about 1"-2" taller stock so around 5" will give a stockish rake and around 6-6.5" will get it about level.

    Just finished the paint
  7. I don't think Taurus fans would work very well with the 4.0l radiator, that would be a good swap if you had a 2.5l
  8. I never liked the idea of a muffler mount turbo, basically they are taking a turbo that's way too small so they can push it with the exhaust rather then the heat expansion off the exhaust ports on the head. I guess it kinda works but its super inefficient compared to a conventional turbo set up. As for the video I wouldn't trust the meter on the dash as a true reading of MPG,I doubt the true MPG is even close.
  9. Go to the wheeling trips and meet and greets section You will see the NW adventure planning forum, that's where you will find local MJ owners.
  10. Our uni frames have very little twist to them unlike framed trucks. At full flex you can see my box is still aligned with the cab, that's how little the uni frame flexes. A framed truck would be out of alignment.
  11. Lots of people wheel them with no doors.
  12. Make sure all your u joints are good,a bad u joint or out of balance drive shaft would make it vibrate like that.
  13. I wouldn't do any wheeling like that.
  14. I've been considering the Autel Maxidas I've used the Modis and played with Solus pro, I liked the Modis but its a big chunk of change,I also don't like how much the updates cost through snap on. Work supplies our scanners but for home and my fab shop I use a Microscan Pro which is the lowest of snap ons better scanners,it works ok but its nothing like the ones your interested in.
  15. It would probably work for you for a while. The 4G63 goes like hell when its running.
  16. Not sure what the 280z weighs but I would think its a bit heavy for the SR20. An SR20det can make a lot of power but its still a just a 2.0l
  17. Why wouldn't you just turbo the 280z engine? They came with a turbo in the 280zx so it would be pretty much bolt on. Problem with 280's are they are very nose heavy, the front end pulls around corners. I have had 2 of them and if I did another I would do a small block V8 or a V6,that way I could set it back and change the wieght distrbution.
  18. 1JZ is a 2.5l the 2JZ is a 3.0l both were offered in a GE (N/A). And GTE (Turbo) versions. I wouldn't consider either without the turbo,as its what makes them perform.
  19. The lincoln versailles had a disk brake 9"
  20. What is the axle out of ? Most likely it will be far too wide.
  21. The 4bt has torque but it also wieghs as much or more then a big block V8 If I was gonna drift an MJ I would probably do an LS swap
  22. I don't think it would be a good swap in a 4x4,you would be giving up too much displacement and losing a lot of low end grunt. The Toyota 2JZ is a great engine, just not in this application.
  23. Looks like the Toyota lost.
