  1. I knew a guy that was having a similair issue turned out to be a bad ground. Also have you checked the TPS? I've seen it cause shifting issues
  2. Another option would be to take the rod end to the parts store and match it up.
  3. I would contact Rough Country
  4. They mount different
  5. Yes as long as there is no journal damage but I'm guessing that if your changing them its because its knocking so the damage is probably already done.
  6. He is tired of his wheeler being his DD,I think he gonna get something reliable to DD then build a dedicated wheeler.
  7. I have lines for a 2wd chevy up front and an extention in the rear I think the part numbers are posted on one of my build pages.
  8. I would do a simple 2-3" lift I wouldn't even think about long arms unless your planning to go big
  9. Picked up another parts rig,Its a 94 Between that one and my totaled 90 XJ I should be good on parts for a while
  10. a little time with a sander is all you should need, but if you insist on stripping it take it to a media blasting shop and get it stripped. there are media blasters that hook to a pressure washer to strip things but they are expensive.
  11. Fixed. That should be worth a few extra HP
  12. I wouldn't have expected that,I figured there would be at least some change in performance.
  13. 8.5" is a lot of lift if you only plan to run 33s or 35s. Mines at 6.5" with 33x12.50s and I could easily run 35s Most long arms fall into 3 groups, Y link/radius arm,3 link, and 4 link. Then within those 3 groups there are various versions of each.
  14. I'm looking at getting everything from a 94XJ to do this swap on a 1990 4.0l I would be using the HO head and manifolds with the Renix electronics I know a few people here have done it and I'm wondering in your opinion was it worth it?
  15. A lot depends on what style of long arms
  16. Control arm drop brackets They drop the control arms about 4" to get the angle of the control arms close to stock. They improve ride and flex greatly over a short arm lift.
  17. 1990 is too early,the AX15 came in the mid 90s.
  18. I ran mine for a long time at 5" on the stock arms.
  19. They have flex joints on the frame end, bushings on the frame side wouldn't flex very well.
  20. My first lift on the MJ was a 5" SOA,it had a bit of a rake to it but looked ok. Here's a pic,5"/SOA with 31X10.50s I ended up going 6.5" up front to get it level.
  21. Never could understand why teraflex makes their BPEs sideways. Trucks coming along nice
  22. No matter how you measure flex I can get higher on an obsticle than most long armed trucks and I'm not maxing out my arms which was my point. If I'm not maxing out my short arms then there is no way a 4 link long arm is gonna flex less then a 3 link with the amount of flex your gonna get with an off the shelf LA kit. So in a debate of 3link vs. 4link flex doesn't come into play since both will flex further then the rest of your suspension can.
