  1. Check the NAXJA Nw chapter staging area if you want to be part of the convoy.
  2. :hijack: Its not by chance a 4.0l 5spd truck? I need a wiring harness
  3. I doubt you will find drop brackets with the braces cheaper for an MJ,you can get some for an XJ cheaper but they won't fit right without modification to your truck. I have bought from rocky road and had few problems with them other then VERY slow shipping,it took about a month to get my parts. A few people have had fitment issues with their parts,my RRO track bar had to be modded to fit my truck correctly.
  4. That's what I thought. how about the ECU? I've been told the auto computer has more agressive mapping,if it is as good or better then the 5spd ECU I would like to use it since I recently replaced it.
  5. I have an 89 MJ 2.5l AX4 231 and a 90 XJ 4.0l AW4,242 As some of you know my wife customized the XJ by flipping it on the freeway. The XJ still runs and drives great so I have been thinking of replacing my 2.5L with the 4.0l from the XJ,but I'm not sure on the wiring harness. Should I get a 5spd harness from an XJ or MJ or should I just use the stuff from the XJ?,I'm not sure since its an AW4 And before someone points out that the 4.0l won't fit my trans, I was converting the MJ to an AX15 so I have a 93 XJ AX15 to use for the swap.
  6. Here's the link for anyone interested. http://dickhannahdealerships.com/jeeper/offroadshow.php
  7. She's probably hog tied in the trunk, package deal
  8. A lot of times they push the valves off the seats rather then crush things. its common for the engine to still turn over afterwards.
  9. Should be a D16,IIRC that's an interference motor. If you broke a timing belt your in trouble
  10. Do you have any pictures?
  11. I thought about it but I'm not sure how well that would work long term with part of the hinge missing and the door held on with just a roll pin,I would rather my doors seal correctly.
  12. I replaced my door hinges yesterday and discovered a useful tid bit I figured I would pass on. The back door hinges from an XJ will swap to the front, this is usefull because rear doors don't see the use the fronts do so you can find them in excellent shape at the junk yard. I used the back door hinges off my totalled XJ on the MJ now my doors function like new.
  13. Today I replaced the hinges on the drivers door and cut out my door striker that some previous owner with no clue tried to repair. I got a new striker in and rebuilt the sheet metal around it then rehung both doors, now both of my doors open and close correctly and my drivers door seals like it should.
  14. I have a 6.5" lift and run 33x12.50's I think the 33s fit well with that much lift, IMO 33s are about as big as you want to go with stock axles.
  15. I Attached the center seat directly to the tunnel then set the buckets as low as possable so the center seat does sit a little higher. It worked out better that way but I would have liked to set the seats even lower. My truck had some junk buckets in it from a 4dr chevy mounted to wood blocks screwed to the floor so all my brackets are completely custom. The front mounts are basically a "T" with one riser in the middle and the rear corners are seperate, they are made from 1" square stock with 1/4" plate for mounting tabs, the seat rails are a generic rail I snagged off some captains chairs out of a Ford conversion van.
  16. Looks like this year it will be held on 7/31 at the Vancouver automall

    My XJ is dead

I was able to save the EXP,today I managed to track down the registered owner. He was a little upset that it was still in his name since he got rid of the car 10 years ago. He cleared everything up with the impound yard and I just got home with it. This ordeal with the tow yard ended up costing me about $650

    My XJ is dead

I think I'm gonna try to find a 2 dr XJ and swap everything over. Its basically a stock XJ with a 3" lift so I don't think it would be worth making it a dedicated wheeler

    My XJ is dead

Got home today and decided to do some body work, and now its good as new. I pulled the plugs and and cleaned them then pumped the oil from the cylinders and I got it started. Seems to run good,I took it for a short drive to clear all the oil out and it seems to drive fine so the drive train is good.

    My XJ is dead

They are hard to find, turbo cars are even harder to find. I have two others and the impounded one was basically a parts car, I was gonna try to straighten out the paper work to get it but it takes time and with a $45 a day impound storage fee I don't have time, especially after forking out $400 to get the XJ and tow dolly back. My best bet is go to the auction and try to buy it back.

    My XJ is dead

Yes the fire dept got there and got her out fast. It was a terrible thing to watch, she was upside down trapped and all I could do is hold her hand and talk to her. I thought about an MJ but wife already wants another XJ so I will probably get an XJ and transfer everything over. This does leave me with a complete 4.0l swap if I decide to convert the MJ,I have an AX15 I was gonna adapt to the 2.5l but I might just bolt it to the XJs 4.0l

    My XJ is dead

I don't understand the 1/4 glass either,we actually pulled it out without breaking it. I figure it can be garage art till I need it. She is very sore but she is up and getting around ok,we found out today the hospital bill is $13,000.
