My center console is broken but I got lucky and found a pristine one off a 87 xj , Just haven’t swapped it in yet
-
Then last thing I’ve also done is I replaced the airbox that had a nasty hole in it with a not broken airbox from the jy
-
I also got to finally replacing my cracked glove box door. I also found a pristine silver dash trim that hadn’t been cut or modified at the jy and installed it. cleaned up the interior today since work was so slow
-
I also ordered and installed new 5.25 kicker speakers and I went to Lowe’s and found a suitable plastic material so I could try and duplicate the factory door plastic seal here's the new door panels installed. I had a problem with the window crank slightly touching the door panel but after some searching at the jy I found some window cranks off a 70s Buick that fit. loving all the chrome !

With my dads awesome help I was able to clean up and restore these beautiful door panels that I had bought from a member here a while back.

Man time goes by fast , merry Christmas to all! Ive done some work to the old girl. I finally got my vibration on the highway sorted sort of. I roadforce balanced my tires. I although it seems like I might have a bad rim on one of them due to the fact That I struggled to get it balanced. The hunter tire balancing machine works wonders and told me the the wheel is marginal after measuring the wheel run out. . After balancing all 4 wheels my vibration is much gone. Although there is a bit left from that one rim that is probably bad.

My dad has a 2001 , I’m a Jeep guy at heart , but despite that I’ll admit that it has been a phenomenal vehicle. I work at Honda and I see all kinds of weird issues early on in a cars life. But for comparison my dads tundra has never ever let him down. It’s currently at 24x,xxx miles and the only thing he’s done is timing belt , brakes , radiator , and I recently just replaced his upper and lower ball joint + lower control arms due to the ball joints being a common failure point and my dad wanted peace of mind while going down the highway and the bushings we’re jusy fried after so many miles. The engine is flawless. Oil is still super clean. It has plenty of power and it honestly feels like new. No leaks , No misses , no rough idle , no check engine light none. The trans has also been flawless. You might know the trans , it’s rue a340 I think , it’s the sameness trans as the aw4. A/c still works flawless in the hot Vegas desert. I honestly would recommend this truck to anyone. It’s a well built truck that just works. The interior plastics can be a little cheap but it totally makes it up in the reliability department.

One of the first thing I did on both my Comanches was swap a chrome front end on it. Easy and cheap from the jy. Others might not be fond of chrome nowadays but I sure love how it looks. -
Do you think it could’ve been dealer installed options ? Because when we bought her she also came with the 5 spoke Jeep wheels with the Jeep stamp on it.

One of the things I enjoyed the most about Comanche of The month was your best mj story. I really enjoy this forum mainly because it’s full of people who share the same passion for their Comanche as I do. I want to hear your stories about your Comanche. I’ll start off by sharing my red Comanche. I was still in high school and one day I had gone to the local autozone in my beige Comanche. Out of nowhere comes in this older woman asking for the owner of the Comanche outside. I then say it was mines. The nice lady then proceeds to ask me if I’d like to buy another Comanche. It belonged to her father who was the original owner but was too old and was senile and couldn’t drive anymore. I was in high school and couldn’t afford another so later that day I asked my father if he wanted to go look at it. Then He agrees and well 750 $ we got her home. She had been sitting in that backyard for years due to the o rings on the fuel injectors going bad. Since then my dad sold it but I bought it back and I enjoy it so much to the point that I won’t ever sell it. here's some pics of when we first brought her home So now your turn , you share your best Comanche story
