I have an extra factory short bed roll bar. PM me, I'd love to see it get onto another MJ as long as it doesn't end up in a JY anytime soon (where I got it). I pulled it to save it from the crusher. Price would be cheap but I'm sure the shipping won't be, plus I'm sure it would have to be palletized. It would ship from 31324, not that far from you. You might as well take a vacation down to River Street in Savannah and come pick it up. Can't remember what I paid, I'm thinking somewhere around $75 bucks.

Before Jeeps I was a Mustang guy, first car was a 67' mustang coupe. Now I wish I'd have gotten into AMC cars, they have many times the "CDI" factor IMO. "CDI" = Chicks Dig It. -
I know its just an above ground pool, but jeez, one that size still costs well over a grand.

Wives & Gf Jealousy (& Jays 5.9 Relationship) Thread
Comanche County replied to terrawombat's topic in The Pub
Well, this isn't as easy on the eyes as Terra's pic, but just got another 5.9 with a vortech V1, Doug Thorley headers (I think), Hughes air gap manifold, MSD ignition, 3.5" exhaust, Magnaflow and high flow cat, custom tuned. It was T-boned, picked it up for not much more than scrap. -

One of the best MJOTM trucks ever! So glad to see a Euro MJ, this truck is a beast!!! . :MJ 1: . -
No one loves our ugly but beautiful little trucks except us.

I Finally Got It......brought Home The J10...
Comanche County replied to rocketwheels's topic in The Pub
Good for you, MJs are rare, FSJ trucks are even rarer. -
That's the key remote sensor.

I've had it many times and had get several late night emergency room cortisone shots. It spreads real easy. I can usually deal with it unless it swells up my face or gets down to you know where...? Then its straight off to the docs. I've seen guys get it and just laugh, I'm not one of em. The key is not to scratch it but its almost impossible not to.

There's a guy right down the road from me with a step side J10. Its been sitting and has about 10 years worth of pine sap on it. Hoping it'll be mine one day.

Lost a socket inside the frame rail once while working on a control arm, got back three years later.

Got a stack of about 15 or so center caps in the garage. Love me some turbines.

IIRC correctly you've got a flux core welder like mine. I tried to repair my neighbors MJ tank but the flux will leave porous welds with micro sized holes. Ended up taking to a machine shop and having them weld up the rusted areas with a proper shielded welder. Cost me 20 bucks.

Good friends are a true blessing. Good on you man.

Nice trailer, close but not an M416. But maybe its got some bantam or other old willys heritage. Can't tell by the pics, is it total homemade or does it have a factory flare to it? There were several manufacturers of old willys and farm trailers. Any factory stamping or data plates?

Nice outcome for a good dude!

I'm going to follow your lead on this.....I've got three switches to mount and I refuse to mutilate the dash or instrument cluster any further. I've already got my ARB switches in where the fog light and trans power switch would go. I've got a couple of spare small consoles to work with so what the hay? and some more details on that TC mounted E brake set up would be nice. It's reminiscent of the old Willys WWII ebrake system. -
Now that was funny!!! :rotf: :rotf: On the other hand, glad your okay bro! There's a black rust free MJ in a yard down here, I'll send you the whole cab if you want.

Nice crocks btw....

The white on woodgrain really works on that ride. Looks great on the XJ platform. Nice find. The FSJ wagoneers had some funky color combos. The ZJ wagoneers were all absolutely hideous......I've got my eye on a local FSJ waggy that's blue on woodgrain...its a nice ride, but blue on woodgrain is no where near as easy on the eyes as the XJ white combo....http://hiltonhead.craigslist.org/cto/3783116124.html

Tower Or Nub On The Timing Cover?
Comanche County replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Magnum engines? You mean the 5.2/5.9 V8s? Its kinda pyramid shaped into the magnum timing cover,,,not really the same shape, the belt doesn't ride as closely as in the 4.0L. I only mention it because its a larger sort of piece cast into the timing cover. I think it just to aid in acquiring the timing. I sold my spare 5.9 engine and I couldn't get a clear pic on my DD. Either way, its non-consequential, I only mentioned it because I also thought it strange to cast in a large piece of metal that's really not needed. FWIW....? -
Tower Or Nub On The Timing Cover?
Comanche County replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Magnum engines have that nub too. -
You're bolts have probably just broken. Pretty common if a PO didn't keep the battery clean and they corroded. Both of mine were when I bought it, seen many in the JY like that.

So cool!!! . :MJ 1: .
