  1. 91 got the new grille.
  2. certainly. I doubt 37" tires are enough to find the relative strength difference between the two.
  3. the 14 bolt is a good axle. you just need a ford dana 60 up front to match and those can be tough to find and costly when you do find them. :( if you have any super duty Fords in your corner of the globe, the Dana 60/10.5" is a good combo too. Even the earlier super duty Dana 50/10.25 will work. you just have to get rims that match the funky metric 8 bolt pattern. nothing along those lines is cheap unfortunately. :(
  4. envious. and jealous. I soooooooo want to get into R/C. loved building models as a kid. too poor though. :( gotta live vicariously through others I guess. :D
  5. what size tires will you be using? is your truck currently 4wd? the rear likely has the chevy 6 bolt wheel pattern, which limits you to Chevy front axles, which don't work. :(
  6. chevy front axles have the differential on the passenger side.
  7. Oooooooo... very nice...
  8. I would definitely make an offer first.

I'll be swinging by the closest scrap yard later today (would have on saturday but they were closed) to ask about the 3 aluminum boat props I had. then I'll be passing that on to the cops. would be hiLARious if that's what gets them caught. :rotf: I like the security bar idea. should be able to work up something along those lines. My uncle is an avid hunter. I'll see if he has a trail cam.

good thought, but the problem with a trail camera is they will see the flash, and then steal my camera. :( I'd still have to guard it all night long.
  11. in your XJ?
  12. the 95 dakota isn't unique, but is inside the right time frame. Any YJ line will work for the front, so just tell them a 95 dakota and a 95 wrangler and you'll be good.
  13. I say go for it. :D
  14. new springs aren't necessary. you can just throw in 1" lift pucks for cheap.

A few days ago someone jacked the tires off our utility trailer and swiped the scrap metal out of the back of my 90. now we've discovered that they came back last night and jacked the hubs off the trailer too. bastards. :fs1: makes me want to set out some bait and then sleep outside with the shotgun. even worse is that, once we replace the parts, how on earth would I prevent that from happening again?
  16. You won't notice any difference. the amount of power it takes to spin a few pounds of steel is nothing compared to the 3500 pound truck moving down the road. If there's a bad U-joint in the front driveshaft, you might feel it. (not necessarily a bad thing since it should be replaced)
  17. best bet is to bypass it altogether. this is one of the ways to do it: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18415 also, double check that the oil levels are topped off in the axles and t-case.
  18. 87-90 will share the most parts (including wire harness and sensors), but all years could contribute something depending on what you have and what you're looking for. what engine and trans type do you have now?
  19. copper plugs and middle-of-the-road wires. can't go wrong.
  20. same here. I really like my leafs. well-used 2wd packs with an extra main leaf thrown in. and that's back when my shocks were limiting my travel both up and down.
  21. neat :D
  22. I see a cage in that cab
  23. hang on to them :D
  24. I guess that could be a bar. we need more pics and history!! :D
  25. I'm curious about the history behind it. It's certainly not an Archer's bros truck. and I don't see a rollcage in it. It's sooooo hard to get details about MJ history. :(
