    I'll bring Carly along when I pick it up. but then, as many of our members can attest, she always tags along. :D would never trade for an MJ though, but you can skritch her ears 'til your heart's content. :thumbsup: she loves MJs and Colorado.
  4. and how big were the tires on that miata? :D don't discount tire size into that equation. I've got 3.92 gears and roughly 29" tall tires in my Dakota R/T and never thought the rpms were that high on the freeway. with 30 or 31" and 3.73 gears it should be juuuuuust fine. :D
  5. 3.73 or 4.10 would give even more punch :D also very common in the explorer 8.8s.
  6. the difference is minute compared to differences in tire tread thickness. won't matter at all. :D
  7. for example: ratio --> teeth count 4.11:1 ---> 37/9, 4.10:1 ---> 41/10, 4.09:1 --> 45/11 all are, for all practical purposes, the same ratio
  8. essentially they are the same ratio. the differing numbers are from different size axles that have slightly different numbers of teeth on the gears. :thumbsup:
  9. "Jeep rule #1: there are no rules." :D
  10. but in his case (32s), any push out will move the tire off the control arm and into the fenders. if he had a smaller tire there would certainly be more options, but the space is only so big under there.
  11. spacers are likely to push your 32s into your fenders.
  12. inside the rockers and frame is going to be the toughest challenge. but at leasst none of the bolts and nuts are frozen with rust. :D should be nice to work on :yes:
  13. seems a shame to do all that work and then doom the poor thing to the same fate as every other winter beater in the rust belt. :( I drove an old minivan each winter for the last decade because rust-free only happens once.
  14. looks good :D just don't let it touch winter.
  15. what engine is in the MJ?
  16. meh. to me it was always better than a huge monthly bill for a new ride. :yes: but to each his own.
  17. an SOA conversion can easily give 5-6inches of lift (depends on the sag in the leafs, the height of the perches, etc.) so be prepared.
  18. yeah I've got a feeling they will all be superior to what you've got there in both capability and life. hard to go wrong. :thumbsup: fwiw, we have a Sony Cybershot that's treated us well. (though now that my dad has a canon SL1, I barely touch the sony)
  19. if I minded, I wouldn't share :D
