  1. someone else will need to measure that. I only have a pair of rockers.
  2. front floor brace of a rocking XJ seat is 3" tall. rear is practically level with the floor. under an inch for sure.
  3. sure looks clean! oh wait, you live in a rust free state. what are the plans for it?
  4. dang it... doesn't anyone know how to take care of a tailgate? 86 would more likely be the AMC-20 rear axle don't forget rear flares, bumper if it's straight, leafs if they are cheap...
  5. depends on price. Looks like a nice higher end unit! same for the bumper which looks pretty straight. and tailiights of course. and I'll take that tailgate off your hands if it's clean.
  6. car-part.com can help with junkyard searches. or you're really lucky you might be able to find a cheap XJ on craigslist.
  7. um... let's see 7lbs 3 oz 19" Sept 4th at high noon (and after the MJ powwow )
  8. try jumping the wires at the switch and see if that does anything. and be sure to check each wire for voltage with an independent ground rather than only from one to the other.
  9. I split off his posts into their own thread. I probably should have locked this one then but didn't think of it.
  10. you could always swap them around with the rear packs.
  11. what do the plugs look like? wet? oily?
  12. do you have voltage at the switch on the trans?
  13. it's hard to get good parts these days.
  14. It doesn't sound good. but there's no way to know for sure until you tear into it.
  15. no Jeep is ever finished! but it looks fantastic thus far.
  16. Found an oldie out in Colorado (but was unable to get it into my luggage so it remains out there). not sure what I'd do with it, but thought maybe it'd be really cool as a faceplate with upgraded guts behind it. I dunno.
  17. welcome back!
  18. 6" of lift can cost a whole lot and make your truck hard to use... as a truck. What do you want out of your truck?
  19. 3.7s are prone to head gasket failures. Far as I've heard, the problem is with the gasket itself and so a good aftermarket one will fix it permanently.
  20. I use my fogs as daytime running lights. aaaaaaand that's about it. they are mostly worthless otherwise, even after much brighter LED bulbs were inserted. mostly I was referring to tow hooks though.
  21. if only you knew someone who was good at fabrication...
  22. I haven't lost anything that way yet, but many pieces of plastic have been removed by my own hands due to vibrations from the CRD causing insanely irritating reverberations. #diesellife
