  1. a-yup. that's why I wanted to get the word out to everyone. maybe a couple of easy ones will get noticed. maybe.
  2. this is a working link to a CC thread: https://comancheclub.com/topic/20486-official-mjs-earning-their-keep-thread/ this is an old non-working link to a CC thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=21845 when we changed to the current forum, the previously used embedded links stopped working due to (I'm guessing) incompatibilities between the softwares. what I'm looking for is the abbreviated, non-functioning link AND the actual address of the thread it was supposed to link to. If we can find a pattern, we might be able to fix them. It's not easy, I know that. and there's no guarantee of success either.
  3. have I asked for the impossible?
  4. when in doubt, put all the little things in a large USPS box and ship them to me and I'll take care of the paying it forward part. don't ship the block though, unless you really want to.
  5. yeah... he's going to want to fix that issue first...
  6. yeah, XJ roofs need XJ sunroofs. that "corrugated" roof structure is a real pain and so normal ones won't cut it. MJs can use regular sunroofs.

    Jeep J-10 Price

honestly, I'm so sick of dealing with rust I'm not sure I'd take it even if it was dirt cheap. there are other trucks down south and out west that may cost a bit more up front and for transport, but will cost less in the long run.
  8. In a couple weeks I'll be back in michigan and it looks like I'll finally be forced to get rid of that 96 XJ that is guarding my grandma's house (there's no garage and no way to even fake that no one currently lives there). I'm stripping it of everything I can while still leaving it capable of being towed away. (it's 2wd with a dana 35 so I'm willing to make that sacrifice)

I see a hint of a hub poking out, I mean, it's rusty as hell and the same color as the dirt, but it's there.
  10. I think the list might be shorter if we go with what isn't important.
  11. well I can't get to the allbreeds show, maybe I can make this one. http://www.bantamjeepfestival.com/
  12. um, what's the cargo capacity going to be if it's just a kit based on the JL?
  13. knowledge is power
  14. why the hell would he not use the pump to drain the tank?
  15. old trucks are a great way to quickly expand your tool collection
  16. especially as you weld the pumpkin to the tubes. don't be in a hurry.
  17. first upgrade is done!
  18. burping locations need to be as high up as possible where the bubbles could congregate.
  19. a "spring over" or SOA conversion needs perches welded to the top of the axle in the appropriate location. then shock mounts will need to be welded on too. I would also replace the old ubolts too. oh, and a longer flexible brake line.
  20. oh the things I would collect if I had disposable income...
  21. full resto. or at least as far as I can take it. I have no desire to mod this in any way short of adding headrests, AUX on the radio, and maybe some turbine wheels (but I'll hang on to the whites). plus any preventative measures such as the headlight relay harness or a flexpipe in the exhaust. if you pull the 3 phillips screws in the lower entryway trim you can pry up the carpet and check for moisture. don't hesitate. it's not going to get any better if you ignore it.
  22. it's quite possible that the bad gas is the issue and the only fix is to drain it all and start over. had to do this just the other day with my lawn tractor. if he's reeeeeal lucky it might just still be residue crap gas in the hoses and he just needs to drain that out.

    Plastic Bed Liner

location is everything with something that huge. I paid 50 for the last one I got. the one before that was free. Some get thrown away because the seller can't find anyone close enough that wants it. Is it factory or aftermarket? over the rails or under the rails?
