fuel economy issn't why you do a swap like this. It'd take a loooooooong time to recoup the money you spent doing it. that glorious diesel sound it makes on the other hand, that is downright addictive Puts a smile on my face every time I fire up the liberty. (unless it's super cold out and I forgot to plug in the heater. Then my face is a mix of fear and terror as I turn the key)

I would go with the 97+ XJ doors seals. they are a bit thicker and seal much better. I would never leave cotton rope where you put it

what are the compression numbers for the current MJ engine? leakdown numbers? oil pressure?

if you pull the tube, what remains is just a simple heat shield on the exhaust pipe. won't hurt anything. the diverter in the airbox intake on the other hand should probably be removed.

all those parts and only 20 hours away!

I generally save them to my desktop and then load them to CC. it's the best way to make sure the pics all stick around.

I have a feeling that the most of the things we would call plot holes are purposely there to set up future movies. They are based on the comix afterall. weird things are on the horizon.

no pics since it'll just be a bunch of big plastic totes in the shed, but I now own the entire engine bay's guts from a CRD libby (plus a front driveshaft). Previous owner had a coolant leak that ended up toasting piston 2, took it all apart, and then got overwhelmed by the cost of fixing it. So I swooped in and snatched it up for cheap. block, wire harness and everything. There are no plans for it aside from transporting to GA to wait around til I need spares in my Libby, buuuuuut, I made sure to get it all just in case there's an MJ transplant in the future.
