  1. even 3.55 gears are enough of an improvement that I'd pay for moving the perches in the rear. keep in mind that 2wd and 4wd brakes are different up front.
  2. I assume this happens even after the tires are rotated?
  3. I have a new system. the new blades I just installed will be swapped in the fall for the old blades I just pulled. an acre of leaves from the giant trees surrounding the house is pretty harsh on the cutting edge and my attempts to get an edge back usually result in an unbalanced blade. heck, one year the "cutting edge" was almost as dull as the back side of the blade! oh, and our "lawn" consists of whatever grows that's green. some of it is grass. I'm so glad to be free of suburbia! what do you guys do about them each year?
  4. an XJ hitch does not fit an MJ what gears are in the axles? or if you don't know, what engine/trans did the Jeep have? are they MJ axles or XJ?
  5. we do have a place for you to put them https://comancheclub.com/forum/25-craigslistebay-ie-not-your-stuff/
  6. build threads in long-ago member's signatures might be a good place to look.
  7. no, I'm not buying it. someone else can have it. says it has a title and no rust. https://offerup.com/item/detail/603176399/
  8. nice! I bow before your beanbag throwing skills
  9. and the robo voices are very lifelike these days.
  10. I got a call from myself once
  11. robo calls are sneaky. super sneaky. it's not always obvious what they want out of the call. best bet is to screen everything.
  12. a-yup. that's why I wanted to get the word out to everyone. maybe a couple of easy ones will get noticed. maybe.
  13. this is a working link to a CC thread: https://comancheclub.com/topic/20486-official-mjs-earning-their-keep-thread/ this is an old non-working link to a CC thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=21845 when we changed to the current forum, the previously used embedded links stopped working due to (I'm guessing) incompatibilities between the softwares. what I'm looking for is the abbreviated, non-functioning link AND the actual address of the thread it was supposed to link to. If we can find a pattern, we might be able to fix them. It's not easy, I know that. and there's no guarantee of success either.
  14. have I asked for the impossible?
  15. when in doubt, put all the little things in a large USPS box and ship them to me and I'll take care of the paying it forward part. don't ship the block though, unless you really want to.
  16. yeah... he's going to want to fix that issue first...
  17. yeah, XJ roofs need XJ sunroofs. that "corrugated" roof structure is a real pain and so normal ones won't cut it. MJs can use regular sunroofs.

    Jeep J-10 Price

honestly, I'm so sick of dealing with rust I'm not sure I'd take it even if it was dirt cheap. there are other trucks down south and out west that may cost a bit more up front and for transport, but will cost less in the long run.
  19. In a couple weeks I'll be back in michigan and it looks like I'll finally be forced to get rid of that 96 XJ that is guarding my grandma's house (there's no garage and no way to even fake that no one currently lives there). I'm stripping it of everything I can while still leaving it capable of being towed away. (it's 2wd with a dana 35 so I'm willing to make that sacrifice)

I see a hint of a hub poking out, I mean, it's rusty as hell and the same color as the dirt, but it's there.
  21. I think the list might be shorter if we go with what isn't important.
