  1. valve cover gasket is the most common leak point back there.
  2. that makes a lot more sense
  3. interesting. those are both MJs with XJ axles. so what do your shackles look like?
  4. do NOT use the XJ perches as-is. that "little" discrepancy will ruin the bushings in your shackles much faster than you think. then the axle will shift to the side and the truck will dogleg down the road.
  5. I like my lift too buuuuuut mine has no bearing on yours since I used the Ford radius arms and kinda invented the rest of it.
  6. https://comancheclub.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=14915 also I fixed blhtaz's dead link in the DIY
  7. they work and everything all are downloadable PDFs. see the link in my sig. enjoy.
  8. partly playing with the poll feature, partly looking for a graph showing how the stock engines are doing. multiple choice answering is allowed for guys owning more than one. If your trucks both have 175k, then I don't know how to accommodate that
  9. you're a pro! now come over here and do all that to my truck
  10. score!
  11. my trucks get only rubber bushings from now on. the poly didn't flex at all.
  12. yeah, that would be nice, wouldn't it.
  13. I finally got the walabot. it's awesome it even told me there were metal studs in the one wall at church where I was trying to hang a baby changing station. metsl studs require different screws and so I got it right the first time
  14. I look forward to hearing about your experiences with it
  15. you should add that to the "most important tip" thread
  16. the ends are just a bit different
  17. is there even a YJ frame under there? that's a heck of a lot of wheelbase.
  18. we're going to need a lot more pics and details!
  19. well, according to my 87-90 parts manual it appears that 2door belts are different than 4dr belts which are different than MJ belts. 2drs have a funky inner attachment point so they should be avoided. 4drs look very similar except for the attachment bit on the lower outside but it should be close enough to work.
  20. -make friends with an electrician -new breaker box for whole house -a 40amp from that main box that feeds a small breaker box for the garage. -install separate 220 and 110 outlets as needed. the fact that you're asking this question makes me wonder if you're up to doing this task alone.
  21. location and rust levels are key to price.
  22. wow, I've got a whole bunch of those in a rack behind the barn!
