no MJ is completely safe from the floor rust. there are a dozen places that can leak and even a car wash can then put moisture under the carpet. fingers crossed though!

my buddy has a door key to his old truck ziptied to the underside somewhere. MJs have 2 separate keys so the door key on the underside would only give the thief the same access as a rock.

all 86s were longbeds.

putting the stock leafs on top of the axle will net 5-6" of lift.

if I remember right it's just power, ground and wires running to the other door.

I'd wager you could use heat to bend the head of an old toothbrush and use as a little scrubber. heck, you could even use toothpaste as a mild abrasive to polish the inside. this message is ADA approved

you don't have to limit yourself to XJ seats, or even Jeep seats. The junkyard is FULL of comfy seats that you can adapt in.

chances are those backup lenses are just super fogged up. do you have power going to the reverse bulbs? power coming into and out of the switch? those should probably still function so people know you're backing up in a parking lot. and I would totally put those into that bumper as aux lights.

the wheelbase is a real sticking point since the chassis they are designed for is more XJ length. where are the people with 3D printers!

I think what I would do is make one for myself and then put it up for sale to see if someone bites. As long as you make it something you'd like to have, you win either way.
