  1. so what is it and how do you do it? is it smooth or textured?
  2. ahhhh, that makes tons more sense (pun intended) how much lift? what size tire are you aiming for?
  3. not sure what it goes to. I see a couple V-belts... https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-AMC-JEEP-DEALER-ACCESSORY-AC-AIRCONDITIONING-KIT-OEM-CHEROKEE-COMANCHE/383479464806?hash=item5949284366:g:wokAAOSwemdefLga
  4. maybe a tree fell and took out the rear roof and they made due with what was left. most everybody like to be unique. some guys just take it to the extreme.
  5. CGW isn't on the back of my 89/90 sheet either. but it shows up in the chrysler computer printout. gotta be seatbelt related.
  6. I'm going to move it to the Tech section for now so more eyes will see it for more input. I'll move it back later
  7. does your truck currently work?
  8. well, it would appear this isn't a 100% cure for our ails. I looked up CGW (reads as next gen airbags in the chrysler computer printouts) and every single CGW code/subcode is an airbag of some kind. bummer.
  9. less to do with the topic at hand, but kudos to you nonetheless.
  10. there is a bunch of transmission-swapping info int he link in my signature
  11. all true points. (though I'm sure Don would argue against that last one ) but for this particular truck I feel the 96 harness would be better. Us hardcore nuts know the older Renix stuff can work just fine, but he's looking to sell a highly modified MJ. True originality is already out the door. having OBD2 can become a selling point on an already update truck where he's looking for top dollar. but we're arguing over someone else's time and money so the choice remains his.

    CC cookbook

so we made some of my great-grandma's oatmeal raisin cookies today. I always like to mix it up with the last couple and try some added ingredients and I think I've struck gold with adding in banana. it's gloriously fantastic. I'm doing the entire batch this way next time.
  13. tis a good question. what are the overall plans for the truck?
  14. the baby cukes have moved into a bigger home. and I have a lid that goes on top to keep it from getting too flooded during these crazy afternoon rains. (there's a big crack int he bottom to drain but there's no way it can keep up with a downpour)

    sooooooooo close...
  16. here, maybe this will cleanse your eyeballs
  17. what has been seen cannot be unseen...
  18. yup. you'll be swapping it allllllllll. honestly it's not all that much more effort than tearing everything down to swap out the block.
  19. oh, and the truck in the avatar is a bit over 5" on 33s and fullsize ford axles.
  20. be careful. it's a super slippery slope of spending.
  21. that is correct. a budget boost is pretty straight forward and cheap. after that you get into control arms, brakelines, trackbar etc. the front can be either a hickey puck style in the bottom of the spring, or a longer poly one to replace your current rubber one. chances are you'll be fine out back for bumpstops. the big issue is the front where turning while flexing can get things closer than flexing alone. that particular lift is for an XJ and so that shackle might not be any longer than your current one. MJ shackles are longer than XJ. you'll want to call and see what they measure. be aware that a change in ride height can expose how bad any worn out parts are. and might need an alignment. it can still get expensive to do, but usually it's now a matter of replacing parts that are bad rather than simply too short. and lastly, that is an INSANE amount of money for a budget boost. you should be looking for front spacers for under 100 USD.
  22. be sure to salvage the window mechanicals
  23. I do not know if you'll clear or not, but there are ways to adapt. a 1.5" or 2" spacer can give additional turning clearance, and a longer bumpstop can keep the tire out of your fender during compression.
