I have “simulated” a load by moving the arm Up and yes it does move. It’s very easy too move maybe to easy??do they clog? I feel like brake fluid should gush out when I’m bleeding the brakes. Upon further inspection I’ve discovered that the fronts also have a weak flow when bleeding them. I have a new master cylinder that was bench bled and a new booster. Also I have replaced calipers and wheel cylinders. This is why I think maybe there is a blockage or something. Does the proportioning valve coming off the master cylinder ever get blocked?. Or maybe the block that ties into the rear brakes blocked ??my issue is not that my brakes are grabbing to much but rather that they don’t grab enough and my brake peddle is very soft. I’ve bled it a hundred times and best I can tell there is no air in the lines. Just very weak flow.

So to clarify your saying that I only need the one line that runs along the frame and the other line on the frame can be terminated?also I cap it in the block that is attached to the frame there towards the rear?

Ok guys, what is the best route in dealing with that height proportioning valve on my rear brakes. It nasty it’s rusty and i don’t know that it even works anymore like it should. I have a suspicion that it might be clogged. Does that ever happen? I say that because when I bleed the rear brakes the brake fluid doesn’t gush out but rather spurts out. However when messing with the arm on the valve I got the fluid to bleed out better but still not like it should. Either way I’m doing some brake work back there and it’s time to address this valve. Can it be rebuilt? I know buying a new or used one is never going to happen. So if it can’t be Rebuilt what are my options. Is there a practical way to bypass it? Any input is appreciated.

Ok fellas , I’m getting all my lights working with new sockets and bulbs. All of my lights are working except the rear drivers side brake lights and turn singnals. They will light up with my running lights on with one filament but the other filament used for brakes and signals I got nothing. I’m pretty sure the new sockets are wired correctly as the marker light filament is the correct one to be lighting up and the install is pretty simple. I checked and redid the ground behind the driver side tail light and inspected and cleaned two grounds mounted together near my air box and fuel ballast resistor. I’ve used bulbs I knew where good to rule out a bulb issue. Maybe my brake light switch on my pedal is bad?? I’m not sure what’s going on but any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Brake bleeding woes
Comanche man Don replied to billyblankss's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I am having this same issue right now. I can’t get the brakes to bleed properly and have tried all the advice I’ve gotten here and on the net. This has been a battle for a very long time. I have even considered getting rid of the truck over it but I really don’t want to do that. If you figure it out let us all know . It’ll be greatly appreciated. -
So then it should be illuminated when the head lights are on? Sorry for being dense I’m just trying to understand. Basically I had one that turned on with the head lights and one that didn’t however they both still functioned properly when the turn signal it switched on. I’m not sure which light is malfunctioning.

Yes I have black to black . I think I’ve figure out the wiring. I’m having a hard time understanding the function of the “parking light”. At what point should the parking light be illuminated? Also I switched the new socket to the opposite side to maybe test my socket. This side previously would not light up except when the blinker was on. After I hooked it up this side was now staying lit when the head lights were on. So could my brand new socket be faulty?

Hey guys. I just switched out the turn signal socket on the drivers side. It works great with blinkers and hazards but when I turn my head lights on the blinker bulb stays lit. I’m thinking I may have some wires crossed but I’m not sure. The new socket had different color wires than the original Comanche wires so I could have wired it wrong. Would it even work with blinkers and hazards if it was wired wrong? Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
