almost forgot to post up what I woke up to this morning. it was weird having such an odd rendition of a song running through your brain instead of the original, but it was in the mix played yesterday on the stereo so I guess my brain felt it was the go-to.

the ol' 4.0s are known for blowing some pressure into the crankcase. it's super common and that alone isn't enough to write it off. unless one particular cylinder is mega worse than the others. but without the compression/leakdown numbers, it's impossible for us to call it from our end of the internet. I'd hate for you to rebuild the whole thing when all you needed was to pull the valve cover, do the blowby mods to it and reseal it up nice and tight.

are the latches moving? are they moving, but not quite enough to free the 'gate? is your handle moving freely and returning to the proper rest spot after use?

camo shortbed. beat up, but rust free. has some... brushed on paint? it's weird. lots of flaws, but good for a wheeler. all you're buying in this listing is the bed and the fuel door. everything that unbolts has been removed by either me or the junkyard it came from. this is a used bed and will have other minor dents or scratches. If you would like some hig res images, I can send them via email. I cannot guarantee that the first member to post "I want it" will be the one that actually gets this exact bed, but will be given preference for the next batch of beds. the crazy miles I gotta drive to get north and the fact that I can only carry 4 beds at a time means I simply cannot go by the rule "first come, first served". I will try my hardest to give preference to the first replies. (chances are good that if I drive more east or west on this trip, I'll go the other way the next trip) the window of opportunity for this drive is around the weekend of May 21st. I do not necessarily need you to be home to make delivery (I can unload and I can move it on flat ground with my hand cart), but I cannot manhandle it very far so you must make arrangements to either meet me when I can be there or apologize profusely to your HOA that you have a new lawn ornament for a few hours. delivery time/day will be given as soon as I have 4 beds sold with a reasonable route planned. this will involve 40-50 hours of driving, so I cannot make promises of times or even specific days if anything goes wrong along the way. I will of course be in contact via phone, so it's not like I'll surprise you with a bed one afternoon. ETAs will be updated as often as I can. once I have a route and buyers, I will let everyone know and a minimum $200 deposit is required via paypal. $100 of this is NOT refundable should you back out for any reason (and none will be returned should you back out after I leave the house). all will be refunded if I have to back out for any reason. unless I die... then I guess you're kinda screwed. sorry 'bout that in advance. if you have any questions or need pics of anything more, let me know in this thread. once I have a route planned out, I will list the bed as sold and then communicate via private messages with the buyer.

see that's the problem, I don't have a route until I know where the buyers will be. I'll head wherever in the salt-belt there are 4 people willing to give me money. but I can't hit all of the salt-belt in one trip. once I have a route for beds I'll also add another ad that contains all the other smaller items. it's complicated.

dang. the one big drawback to my flattop conversion. facebook is where you're going to find the "I need LEDs, but don't know how to fab anything" crowd.

it may or may not have propped up the auto manufacturers, but definitely hurt anyone in the used car/part market. completely destroyed my 8.8 selling business.

that sprinkler system was the best thing ever that we installed at my grandma's house. at that time she was unable to water the lawn herself and my family and I took turns keeping her front lawn perfectly green for a couple years.
