A couple of summers ago my father, brother and I tore apart my dad's 95 YJ Wrangler that had a 4 cyl and a 5 speed. Here is what it looked like once the rust got cut out and test fitting the engine: Here it is with the frame, body, and firewall painted. The interior got a spray-in raptor bedliner. It was on 235s. So i'll start a build thread for my recently acquired Comanche! Bought a ticket from Denver to Phoenix to pick this up and drive it back. Pretty much love at first sight! It has a full 98 conversion. 4.0 with 110k, AW4, NP242, limited slip Dana 35, 3" lift (I think). All of this was done by the previous owner. Driving back was a breeze (except for the AC compressor clutch exploding in Phoenix). This is the first pic I took in it's new natural habitat in the forest of Colorado!
I bought a 90 mj eliminator 4x4 with a spring over axle, chrysler 8.25 swap. Previous owner removed shocks for better articulation before he did the soa. He told me it had a 5.5" lift in the rear and did not tell me about the soa, I found that out after I bought shocks for 5.5" lift. I installed the new rubicon express shocks and they are way too long! Do I need stock length shocks or...? This is my first jeep so needless to say I am very new to the jeep world and any help would be appreciated.
