  1. I saw several yesterday. (I stopped by Adam's house)
  2. that's a sweet deal for someone.
  3. woo-hoo! be sure to start a build thread and share lots of pics!
  4. the CC doesn't really host videos very well. you'll want to upload to youtube and then share.
  5. I use my extra beds as big storage boxes for my other extra parts.
  6. if a trade is an option, location matters. those things are a real bear to ship. as to modifying it, the rear bars mount in the same place on the upright, and the same place on the fender. the angle/length changes.
  7. do the vacuum balls really need to be XJ/MJ factory units? there should be others out there in junkyard land that would fit the bill. any chance that grand cherokees have something similar?
  8. hoses should be able to be custom made by a shop.
  9. cleaning up a thread happens like once every other month. no biggie.
  10. I can go through and hide posts for ya
  11. sigh... yet another thing I should have been scavenging over the years. I wonder how many I overlooked.

  13. I should probably add that to my signature. definitely gotta rotate the info alerts now and again.
  14. your grandpa sure had good taste in trucks
  15. it's a slippery slope
  16. now it's ready for that first spin around the block
  17. have you ever inspected crank bearings before? if not, I'd suggest a youtube vid to get a peek into what's required.
  18. as you may know, I like to hang my spare parts as decoration
  19. um, if I remember right for swapping just the block, nothing. it's simpler than even doing the same thing with 4.0s.
  20. looks like you got a good amount of progress done. the thermostat's job is to warm everything up. it doesn't help cooling at all. cycling the coolant sooner just keeps it in warm-up mode longer and burn more fuel as it tries desperately to get up to operating temperature.
  21. I tried. but I just never could get that '90 to the point of driving before I moved and had to sell it. was really looking forward to AWD+snows+manual
  22. you can use any 2.5L block. right up to the end of XJ production. don't limit yourself to the older ones.
  23. fun fact, the individual sheetmetal frame pieces are different between an XJ and MJ. probably close enough to make work, but it won't be an exact fit.
  24. @eaglescout526
  25. legit snow tires are like having a super power. I had my minivan in 6" of fresh snow and it handled it great. I'll take snow tires + FWD over 4wd for snowy roads any day. and you can run them year round. they make fantastic rain tires too. cheap enough to just get another fresh set the next winter if you drive a lot.
