  1. to the EGR itself? apply vacuum to the port on it. the valve should move.
  2. test and verify before replacing.
  3. which ones are unhooked? where do they lead? are you introducing a vacuum leak to make it run right? (or are you plugging the open holes in the manifold with your fingers?)
  4. where is the gas smell strongest? in the engine bay? or out the exhaust? have you accomplish all of Cruiser54's renix repairs yet? they mostly cover known wiring issues but lots of other stuff too. should be in the link in my signature. don't fire the parts cannon. test your sensors.
  5. those bolts are made of like the weakest metal ever.
  6. always confirm the basics. even if it doesn't make any sense for them to be bad, check anyways just for piece of mind. glad it turned out to be something "easy".
  7. yup, type "automotive upholstery" into google maps and see what they've got (or can get).
  8. and a lot less work than new fenders and then trying to match flares.

  10. man, that's just going to get all clogged up with zombies.
  11. a lot can happen in 30 years. a pic of the ends of the leafs would answer everything.

3d printing for the win. truly we are living in the future!
  14. early metric tons are 4+1. later they changed to 3+2. \\ are the ends of the leafs all the same? or is one of them markedly different in shape or thickness at the tip?
  15. gearing (and tire size) matters a lot too. it's really hard to find 2 identical 30 year old Jeeps for a straight up comparison.
  16. after 3 decades of existence, the performance of any particular truck is mostly dependent on the condition it's in. but the rule of thumb is that the Renix has a bit more toque down low and the HO has a bit more ponies up high. but not enough to justify switching from one to the other based purely on numbers.
  17. never mind I can see it stamped on the side of the unit I'm looking at, plain as day.
  18. for r134, yes?
  19. I can only drive one at a time, but they sure as heck can be broken more than one at a time. old trucks are fun!
